GH and Rockwool

Im running RW now I was in coco so now Im feeding 8/16 micro and bloom. As for my veg I fill my rez up about 1/2 way with 8/16 then bring it down to 550 to 650 ppm then I add a Bat Guano 0-4-0 at 2mil a gl. I run my rez for the first week at 550 then I up it to 650 no higher then 650 for my veg Im under 2 8light T5s. I ph to 5.8 after I per soke at 5.5 the plants are very happy the roots are ripping so hard with this feed. Im about 2 to3 weeks I have roots growing ontop of the cubes. The higher leave of P and Ca is what the roots love. I use no root exl just that feed. Room temp is 79 to 80 hum is 65 to 75 I veg for 20 on 4 off. As for my flowering feed I run 8/16 phed at 5.8 to 6.1 for the last 3 weeks I keep my PH at 6.0 to 6.1 room temp is 79 to 80 with Co2 at 900 ppm hum at 43 to 55 is the range with light on light off 53 to 61. I hit them with MOAB week 2 and 4 . I pull 6 to 7 lb with 4 1000s in coco out of this room now with my first run with RW and I have some coco plants in there I may hit 5.5 this time I did not veg the RW plant very long 6 days and fliped. But here is a photo of my cookie in veg with that feed.

No but in my flower room I took a piece of reflectx and put it over the cubes.

Perfect, I cut squares from my mylar and used toothpicks to hold them down.

As for my next run I have all my babys in 4x4s the I will put them on top of a 6x6 then on a 1in coco mat. I got my feed mapped out. Micro 7mils and Bloom14mils.

Then at the start of week 5 I will run rockrez and with rock rez the # are

I will hit them with MOAB at the start of week 2 then agen at week 4.1 tsp to 5 gl of food 1/2 strength. Then at the end of week 6 the start of week 7 I will drop the micro and run the bloom and the rock rez. Then start my flush for 10 to 12 days till I get a run off of 150 to 200 ppms.

Here is some of my rockwool girls in flower and some of my GSC in coco. And my babys for my next run. So there is SFV OG, Headband and GSCookies in the photos. Next run will be all Cookies.

Looking nice JP, love the stadium set up. This is slightly unrelated, but do you have a nutrient doser? I could have swore I saw one in an old pic of yours once and was wondering if this was you or not. If you do... how do you like it?

Yes I do have the dosatron setup I love it I have 3 dosatron so it is hard to come up with a good profile like N150 P50 K200 Mg 60 Ca 140.
Do you run rockwool? Kushtree I like coco but I like to work with rockwool it is much cleaner. Is there a good profile for rockwool that someone has run and if so what is it. I like to K.I.S.S. Im running DS Dyno bloom for root and veg and it is working killer. When I go into the big room I will use GH some like 6/12 or 7/14 or 6/14.

the dosatron parts look very nice, i will have to check them out more. i run a very hydroton heavy chow mix. i am moving toward no coco though, i have some thing im going to try. ive always used rockwool for clonning, but since i do trees, ive never thought of doing rockwool.

DS's rooting tech is excellent, one place where i would use dyno bloom. i used to do the 6/9 GH for coco when i first started, but it has too much P for my liking. i run CNS17 with a little epsom salt, just as easy and a nice profile. have you seen the grodan thing cysmatic posted in the advanced section? it was a very good read

What do you think about you run your chow mix with rockwool? The small stuff.

I've thought about it. I figure it would be like running chow with the coco chunks instead of the small stuff. It might actually work better because their would be more air... I think... I just haven't had the time or will to try it out

I haven't seen many people do rockwool mixes, usually just blocks on slabs or blocks on blocks. I dnt see many commercial green houses that use the mixes we do. Most use rockwool with slabs, perlite, or nft. But they also don't grow trees indoors...

I transplanted on the 6th and today they have been in for 2 weeks and 2 day. I feed Dyna bloom for 1 1/2 week then to 4/8 micro and bloom with cal-mg is at 5 mils and 2 mils of Bat Guano 0-4-0 it has Cal in it at 1.4 %. For the first 4 day of the Dyna bloom I feed at 4 mils PH to 5.2 For the next 5 days I feed 4 mil Dyna bloom with cam-mag at 4 mils then I went to 4 micro and 8 bloom
with 5 mils of cal-mg and 2 mils of Guano And 1 mil of H2O2.

Nice grow, rock that GH. I wanted to try RW, but I don't have any equipment for a drip system so soilless was easier.

How does the 20/4 light cycle work compared to 18/6?? Do you notice any improvements in growth??

I like to give them a long light cycle with a small brake. I have been doing the 20/4 for a long time . They rip hard for 20 hr no drop at the end of the light cycle. I just got all the babys in to the big room full light all 4 1000 on. All GSC me so happy. I will make cuts in about 4 days then flip.
Im running 5 micro and 8 Bloom and 5 cal-mag PH is at 5.9 I will up the feed to 6/12 then 7/14 and about 1 time a week I will flush with 300 ppm of food. So this last run was 5lbs GSC was 1.5 Headband was 2.25 and OG was 1.25

I'm gonna try the 20/4 light cycle on my next batch of seedlings. I like the short and simple nutrient regiment, good luck.

So one thing Is when you are in veg be for you go into the big run your food at the max of 7/14 for about 2 days. Then you can go into the big room at 7/14 PH to 5.7 I had some Phosphourus problems now there are all good now.
