i just got off the phone with GH Tech Support and i was told that Rapid Start has no beneficial Bacteria or Fungus and it IS safe to use with H202!

im was worried for a bit there SweetTooth, but i just heard it front the horse's mouth!

I'm actually still a bit apprehensive about adding it to my program in Aero because i does have 3 plant extracts, the 0.05 alfalfa extract, 0.05 barley extract, 0.1 willow bark... i am paranoid that those lil bits of extracts could feed some sort of root pathogen or attract bugs. :character0110: :bug

what do y'all fellow hydro/aero ThcFarmers think?

Rapid Start and Root Excel both are equally effective...RE cost twice as much as RS.

RE dosage is 1 ml per gallon.... RS you have to use 2 ml to the gallon...twice the amount

So either way your paying the same amount of $$

You either pay the $70 cost of RE and use 1/2 the amount of RS or pay $35 and use twice the amount of RE

It equals out in the end as far as cost....now what works better?

Neither product does anything for slim or algea...you need clear rez, hydroguard or chlorine for that

Got a couple free samples from local store and really like the results. In 1.5" rockwool cubes roots where exploding out the sides and so fine it almost makes ya dizzy to look at them like it's not in focus.

Gonna keep using RS or RE as both are really good.

Btw willow bark (in RS) is really good for rooting if you look into it.

Used RE for my first time last round and it did notice way more roots (sunshine, beds). However is it worth it? While my roots system was better my results seem to be pretty much the same as when i go without. I am going to try RS this time round as up in Canada RS is much cheaper and cost effect option than RE.

In general H&G is way too expensive up here. Jealous of you Californians and your reasonable pricing.

I use 2.5ml/gal for for veg and 1ml/gal for the first two weeks of flower. I have had great results. Like mentioned previously, I have not had great results when using it to initially root clones.

I used it for the first time for cloning with great success. Dipped the cutting in a 2ml/gal solution then in bonide rooting hormone then into the rapid rooter. Popped roots in 6 days and full on root porn in 8!
