Ghetto Grow Show.

Hey fellow farmers.

I'm new to the farm [and loving it here] and I am feeling the need to share my little closet of plants.

Before reading further I must admit that I am a lazy grower - and procrastinate things in my garden occasionally - so expect to see a little abuse here and there.

Anyways - this will be my first run in this ghetto flowering chamber I've rigged up. It took me forever to get the chamber done so in the meantime I had plants vegging in another closet - which is now well overgrown.

I know I'm leaving a lot out right now - but it's time for some pictures and I'll bore you with more reading later.

Here are about a dozen kush clones planted in soil about 2 weeks ago.

And this is my tiny flowering chamber - I only have cfl's in there now and minimal ventilation but the girls are taking it well. Notice the mutant hydro plant as well - went all the way down to 1 blade before upping it to 3 and 5 again, lol.

The 3 on the left are a G13 cross and those clones were planted in soil less than a week ago. And the mutant on the right is a widow XXX male that was a reveg so we'll see what happens with him.

For the sake of practicing my LST'ing - I don't have the space to flower this girls right now, but look at the canopy on her.

The raggy looking one up front was just recently attacked by a house pet, but is making a healthy comeback; and the mutant in the back is a recirculating dwc bucket that I have been cloning like no tomorrow - I guess it's my mother plant but it was never intended to be.

So, I have been avoiding posting in the early weeks as generally no one really wants to see it anyways... but here's a little update.

The ladies are doing well, the ones that were transplanted took an extra week or so to shoot out the pistils but the ones in solo cups started quicly.

They aren't having any issues so far :)

And here's a nice G13 cross female, bushy thing; she was topped a while back.

But here's some stuff for you all to enjoy... I gave a cut of the Bubba to my buddy a couple months ago and this is what he has... flipped to 12/12 really early and she sits under a 400w hps; this is what I'm expecting in a couple months.

Hey everyone, good to see some people tagging along :)

So I'll have some updated pics soon for you all, but I was playing around with that runt Widow-xxx clone and pollenated one of the kush ladies a few days ago. Anyways, that was the first plant by 2-3 days that the pistils turned a reddish-brown... This is my first attempt at making seeds in any way - is it normal for the seeded plant to mature quicker?
Anyways, I see one seed forming in the top bud where I pollenated.

Also, I've heard around week 3 for pollenating - is that true? And is there any differences with the regular plants and the seeded one?

Well, I have mated my first plants, and am producing my first seeds. I took the widow-XXX pollen and let it attack the Bubba - I'm thinking BubbaXXX ;) lol

And the show is about to get a little less ghetto as I have acquired a 400w hps and an inline fan w/carbon filter :) :) :) Now I have to figure out a way to ghetto-rig it up.

For the veg side - last update I showed you a G13[cross] mother that I had just stripped of some clones - all the clones and the mom went outside so I will update you all eventually with their status. I also sent up a LST'd kush that had outgrown my space.

With all the spare room I decided to break into the old hydro buckets I have... This is the one clone of the G13 mom I had left, put in there yesterday.

And today I cut some kush clones and next week when it roots [hopefully 5 days] it will be put beside that bucket.
The plan so far is to flower those 2 ladies next run.

I don't remember how far along I am really, lol, somewhere in the 3-5 week range depending on the plant; but the seeds are coming along nicely.
I trimmed a couple branches on one of the ladies and there was a couple seeds - anyone have any idea if they will pop? They were super early but 2 of the 5 look good.

And I am still slacking, I am yet to install the HPS and fan...
Either way look forward to a Widow-Kush cross next run from me :)

Lol, a solid 84 watts of pure CFL power...

They will be dropped completely in an effort to maintain my hydro bill at its current [already high] level. Those lights don't even cover the electricity the inline fan will use.

However, it is effing hot in my bedroom so after this run I am going to wait until summer is over to install the HPS.

Also, good thing that this was a seed run - I have been having timer issues :(

Well today is the day for some of the little ones - sorry I slacked on the updates - I'll post something up soon ;)
Unfortunately I ran into many issues:
- Timer broke - who knows how many days before I noticed and I did poorly to keep 12/12 by my head.
- Heat issues - I had no ventilation in there and things got pretty rough.
- Budget - I'm unemployed right now and had no money to put into this one.

I'm going to be cleaning everything and closing up shop for a little bit - there will hopefully be a move in my near future as well.
But with stopping growing it's only a matter of time until you start up again ;)
