Hi all,
I stumbled across your little site and have been lurking a bit, thought I'd say hi.
I'm a jaded attorney that grew up in backwoods west texas, moved to Boston, and before long I was an 'independent' caregiver in the hopes of securing my own medicine regularly. After being inspired by my canna doc to transition into a legal caregiver role I am finally comfortable starting my own grow and helping my friends start theirs as well as helping consulting and advocate for patients and their medicinal needs. I'm also working on a cannabis focused startup (TheGrassIsGreener) which I'm not allowed to speak openly about until after the ballot initiative passes in Nov.(hopefully)
I'm mostly interested in No-Till at the moment but I'm looking forward to potential recreational in Mass and blossoming into a full time cultivator when that happens. We're composting and have a big potted garden on our stoop but are just about to start my fiances medical grow, so it's an exciting time.
I've been a snob most of the time I've been a partaker... One of my earliest jobs in the industry was working for a Manhattan delivery service about a decade ago. I've been chasing the dragon of finding anything on that quality level ever since... the sour was so dank I got nauseous, the kush was so lovely you felt like you were riding a cloud. Simply brilliant. Ten years on the black market side and I still haven't seen that consistent level of quality around Boston.
I'm hoping to learn as much as I can, push a few buttons to learn more, and hopefully grow something to suit my own taste... I realize I might have to buy the farm and do some serious pheno hunting (the turquoise blue dream pheno is on my short list).
I'm also really interested in learning more about smaller seedbanks and breeders. I've always supported small biz and when reliable I would love to continue that.
I'm a sativa nut so I've already got a list of psuedo landraces to play with and look forward to growing knowledge and my girls along with all the folks here.
Uh... I grew up in Texas Presbyterian, about 10 years ago I finally transitioned out of Pilgrimism and onto Buddhism which I now practice. I also play a lot of fifa on psn and coach the yoofs for my oldest daughter.
I dunno is that enough?
Best, James
