Hey yall! Stretch / flowering question.

I've been growing some feminized Jack Herer, at 51 days. Mainlined to have 8 colas in a 5 gal grow bag in a 2x2x4 tent, reading about what I'm seeing and feeling out how the plant reacts has been a lot of fun.

Am I correct that stretch is based on how tall the plant thinks it is per branch length? Or is it literally how high off the ground it is. The former would measure 12", the latter 4" due to my LST

Should I flower now or grow for a bit longer? I've got ~28-30 inches of vertical space remaining between the top of the center stem to the lights.

---

Note: lil bit of wind burn on the leaves near the intake, time to water too! Any advice is always appreciated!

Nice job. I'd let her grow a bit yet if you have room in the tent. When setting up a mainline like this I find it's best to top the first time above the node above the T so you have loots of meat above this very high stress point later on. When cut short like this the chances of the stalk splitting are quite high as it's such a high stress joint. I also don't clean the stalk right off as you have done here. As the plant grows I try and let every other node produce a stalk. like this.

It just fills in the center better. But that's going to be a nice plant in a bout another 30 days.

Yeah I've noticed a lot of other examples are like more like yours for that reason. I picked up on that a little late but I think I'll be able to make it work.

I was trying to leave a bit extra but I didn't realize how it all fills out, you're right Ill have to be mindful of that.

Appreciate the recommendation, may do just that!
