Makes sense especially outdoor they hydroton may dry to fast… could be solved by raising the water line, contrary to belief you can run the waterline uo the net pot. But then the coco plants may suffer. As they grow and more roots in the water this shouldn’t be as pronounced and may completely disappear.

The starter root plugs if any make a difference too. But looks like the coco with perlite is outperforming so far… very interesting brother

Hey guys! It’s been another 10 days so I thought it time for walk through. Had a couple little issues in the last month but overall everything is still going incredibly well! Fresh res last night/this morning. And no funny business so far. Made an upgrade to my circ./aeration Pump with a 1-1/4” riser and a plastic cereal bowl. Lol but seems to be working perfectly!

This was my first soil greenhouse grow. The first video is June 19, 2020. And the second is in late September.

Yep.. shitty soil, rabbit shit and homemade fish emulsion from walleye I caught on the bay. My set up is actually passive ebb and flow, but yes quickly running out of room..

So the water is always recirculating through each barrels back and from /through that big ass res?

Or

It flows/floods; drys back a little then floods again?

It fills from the res to the point it overflows back to the res. When the pump kicks off it drains back to the res through the pump leaving the barrel empty with a small reserve at the bottom.
