I've managed to grow 8 plants up to this point. 7 females, 1 male. Not bad for being completely clueless.

I'm in zone 5a, which presents enough challenges of it's own, but I'm going to try & grow through the winter this year.
I've been growing photos up to this point, but going to try an auto. Several friends have tried here with absolutely no luck. The autos seem to be a bit temperamental? But... what the hell.
I dropped a Gelato Auto yesterday we'll see what happens.
Trying this in winter may be a futile effort.

I don't know 5a area, i'm in Oregon and the only way would be to heat it and strong lighting. But good luck to you.

Slow and steady......your new baby wont need that much water, probably why is off to a slow start. Let that soil dry out before its next watering

How many hours of daylight in your area this time of year?

We're only getting about 10hrs, and shrinking at this point.
Thanks for the advice on the water. I'll be leaving for a week, and trying to get a handle on how long the water lasts on the tray.

Looking for some guidance here.
Would you consider this to be "pre-flower", or week or 2 into flower?
Trying to understand the timelines...

Thank you...
So would "pre-flower" be when the pistils first start showing up??
...and at what point should I start counting "weeks of flower" towards a harvest date?
I realize, its more of a "when its ready" type deal & not a timeline.

Roughy 14weeks of flower. Some stressers...

Very few amber trichs.
Should I chop? Have I lost potency? Wait a little longer???

I understand, just trying to apply time lines. Same strains as last year, but they were kind of weak... I harvested them first part of Nov. last year.
I was holding out, looking for amber trichs. It just seems like nothing is happening for about 2-3 weeks. I have read, that sometimes the amber doesnt happen. Soooo, damn confusing.

Haven't updated in a while...
Jill-auto is coming along sloooowly. Obviously the 9 1/2hrs. of sunlight is inhibiting any form of growth spurt. Additionally, the challenges of extreme temp swings between day/night (45°/75°) doesn't help either. 18 days since she popped.

Now the the previous crop is dried & into cure, I'll move it into the tent. Picked up a old grow light off marketplace, so lighting & temp swings should improve some.
We shall see ! Good experiment at any rate.
