I have not.Has anyone had a good experience with Grow Dots?
Your understanding about plants' changing nutrient needs is correct. Whether one application of fertilizer can last an entire grow probably depends on the type of fertilizer and growth medium. I don't do it. I think it could be done with organic or slow-release nutrients, but I can't foresee much benefit for a home grower like me.It is my understanding that the nutrient ratio should change as the transition into flowering happens. How can ONE single application of fertilizer be good for the entire grow.
I’ve seen grow dots used successfully a couple of times! And I use recharge! It’s just microbes And such that breakdown existing fertilizer into a plant available form! It doesn’t have any fertilizer value!I've just started my 2nd grow. My 1st grow was coco coir with perlite and the Fox Farm Trio. In my 2nd grow, I used 40% coco coir, 40% Fox Farm Happy Frog and 20% perlite. Growth and health aren't as good as in my 1st grow. I've watched countless videos on media and nutrients. One of the guys that comes up often in my feed who recommends Grow Dots. The claim is that you add them at the beginning and nothing else is needed all the way through harvest.
Here is my question.

I haven't used Grow Dots, but I've run Osmocote, which is a less-expensive slow release synthetic nute. Worked fine. I think as long as the nutrient level is "enough," but not "too much," healthy plants will take up what they need, when they need it.I've just started my 2nd grow. Am I correct that you grow outside in garden soil? If so, I've read that microbes used for inside growing don't survive in outside soil. The explanation was that native microbes out compete them. (I can't quite remember the specific reason native microbes take over.)And I use recharge! It’s just microbes And such that breakdown existing fertilizer into a plant available form! Yeah, outdoors! But in pots in reamended soil Used year after year! I don’t know if it works or not! It is the only thing I add during the grow! Maybe the only benefit from it is the spending of money unnecessarily! That seems to make me feel better!Am I correct that you grow outside in garden soil? IV just finished my first grow with them and they were amazing tbh I was sceptical about the. But because I work away and get my misses to water them thought it would be easier and my god the one iv just chopped looks brilliant faded a nice purple colour all I used was microdots and instant microbe tea IL post photos once there dryI've thought about trying grow dots. I watch some of Scotty's videos. He pushes it alot so I figured they wouldn't work that well. Didn't know if they're a money grab or they really work.
Recharge gets recommended alot so that stuff must be good.

How did these turn out? Do you got any pics of the finished product im just curious. Also did your plants fade like crazy? Some examples with autos. Get your water right and VPD on it will go well.

Has anyone had a good experience with Grow Dots?l did a mix run to see a few years ago, wound up having to amend in flower. Most valuable along with medium and aeration is worm castings. Not sure if you just didn't include but know that is good as Gold Everytime, throughout and after.
Did you ever go into flower earlier than the time release timeline? Im looking to use grow dots for some cloning/breeding since I have a bag sitting around unused, but Im only looking to veg for 3-4 weeks for theseI use grow dot every time i grow, fox farms with the grow dots has been great. Simple to use based on container size. Well worth the price, the large bag goes far.
