Grow Medium Coco / Perlite/ Soil ??

Thinking of mediums asidevjust soil.

What had me think of this would be 50% coco for grow benfits n 25% of soil to hold water and the bottom the of pot would be just perlite???

Lay it on me stupid or decent idea?

Ive done a Coco/soil combo before and it held too much water for my liking

I’ve done coco and soil as well about same combo as you 75% soil 25% coco. Make sure to watch out for P deficiency. I didn’t realize until it was too late but the coco was holding extra K while making P and Mg less available. Even with that going on though I still had vigorous growth just the stems would turn red after a while. I can dig up a picture if your curious how she turned out.

I think I am going to do the last or first 15% with just soil. Then the rest with a 80/20 mix of coco to perlite

I just am gone for my space for 50hrs+

So I want to make sure they will hold more water then just coco.

Thoughts?

Here are my current peeps. Looking to do 3 instead of 4 next time and a couple layers is scrog nets.
