June 30th:
Came home from work, washed up and changed clothes like always before checking on the girls in the grow tent. I was invited to the not so pleasant site of a bent, super-cropped-looking branch. I was so sure that I was extremely careful when switching out reservoir buckets as not to not bend or break any branches.

July 1st:
Came home from work to about the same problem. Turns out the buds are getting pretty damn heavy and are now breaking thinner branches. As you can tell from the pix, buds are leaning over from both the Chemmy Jones and the hydro Kandy Kush.
Man, I really should have set up a trellis. And here I was thinking that the Chemmy Jones was not going to have any weight to the buds whatsoever .
I’m thinking for now that I will string up some kind of string to opposite corner posts to make an “X” and then string up the branches that are falling over to the “X” string line.
The Kandy Kush in the 1/2 gal coco pot is finishing up nicely and the flush is bringing out some nice colors. I figure another week or maybe a little less and she will be ready for harvest .

Thanks @BurnzYzBudZz. Ordered som yo-yos on amazon prime. Won’t come in right away due to the holiday weekend. Doesn’t matter anyway since I’ll be gone for a few days. Definitely a life saver though.

As you all can tell, the TPS nutrients work pretty good if I say so myself. I’m still amazed at how clean these nutrients are and the simplicity of this line. And I’m in no way at all an affiliate or marketer. Easier than the other 2 nutrient lines I was using for hydro (Jack’s 3-2-1 & Lotus Nutrients). Not to put down those 2 other nute lines, but they are more geared towards potted plants than in DWC.
Right now I’m at 1.5ml/gal of blue planets Silica (always mixed in water first), 8ml/gal of TPS One (dropped from 10 ml/gal for the past 2 or 3 weeks), 5 ml/gal of the TPS Signal (up from 4 ml/gal the past 2 or 3 weeks), & I forgot to mention I bought some TPS ‘OAC’ CalMag and have been using @ 2ml/gal for the past two weeks. Turns out the old 3year CalMag I’ve been using is the culprit as to why my ph levels were dropping so dramatically.

Lesson of this grow:
DON’T USE NUTRIENTS MUlTIPLE YEARS OLD

July 10th:
Almost time to harvest the small Kandy Kush. Not seeing any cloudy trichs though. I spot a few amber trichs here and there which is a little weird.
The colors have an awesome looking fade with just flushing pure water for the past 11-14 days or so. I forgot to date exactly when I started the flush, unfortunately, since I water this particular plant with much less volume but way more frequently.
Im still quite certain flush began on June 28th, because Sunday is the day I change out the reservoirs.
I have not ph’d the water I’m flushing with at all either. EC comes out from the 4 stage ro system with added di filter @ 0.00 on my multipen. (Yes, my pen actually measures the EC to the hundredth.) The only thing I wish I would have done, but forgot to do, was add molasses at a very diluted rate just before the flush.

I think I’m going to chop the little one on Sunday the 12th, as it won’t be possible for me to do it at anytime day or night the coming week.
I still have to find a way to hang dry maintenance free as well.

July 10th:
The other two plants are still putting on weight. The big hydro Kandy Kush is a very heavy plant with big roots that I’ve been having more and more trouble moving when I do reservoir changes. I bent the main cola about a week ago on the last reservoir change. That particular cola (the big cola towards the center of the grow tent) is now starting to change some color, so it’s almost time for the flush to begin... Maybe one more weekly feeding the 12th, THEN flushing begins for the hydro Kandy Kush on the 19th.
Chemmy Jones is still holding out. Not bad for a mutant plant. Weird bud structure but insanely frosty with those big, long & thick trichromes. Reeks like strong gas. Crazy smell that you can’t get off of your fingers. I’ve tested a few buds already and are extremely dank. I wish this plant had more yield but is actually pretty heavy when you move the branches around.
I’m thinking the Chemmy Jones still has a 2 or possibly even 3 more weeks of feeding left still before flush is considered

I forgot to post pics from the 1/2 gal coco pot harvest on Sunday the 12th, so here they are. Life gets so damn busy sometimes .

Not exactly root bound, but I definitely should have used a 1 gal pot instead lol... or even a fabric pot would have been better. Not bad for my first coco and first clone grow.
I can’t really give a final weight either, as I gifted one of the harvested branches to a friend for feedback.

Took these last night 7-31-2020. My camera sucks at any close up shots. There’s branches I should have tied up that broke. I didn’t know I would need alot of yoyos. I’ve been using an unopened bottle of cyco’s Kleanse @ 8ml/gal for a week now. The EC was very low after adding the Kleanse and brought it from 0.00 to 0.09 EC. Seems to be doing ok . Tomorrow 8-2 I will be using straight DI water @ 0.00 EC with no ph late afternoon until harvest day (probably next Friday 8-7 or a day sooner) so I can get a full 14 day flush and try to leach out any thing left I don’t want to be consuming. It will also give the trichromes a chance to turn a little more amber. I am more than likely going to flush with some dechlorinated water from the top of the plant multiple times to freshen the roots up before using the DI water. Smells and looks are completely different between the two which I was hoping for. The Chemmy Jones is very dense and reeks like the gassy type. The Kandy Kush’s fat colas look pretty dense and turned a deep purple almost bluish in appearance and smells like delicious fruit. I’m hoping that letting the Kandy Kush ripen up longer than the clone did will make it harden up. It’s definitely putting on some nice weight

Yesterday 8/9/2020:
I chopped both plants down yesterday b/c it’s going to be my last day home for about a week. I left both plants in 48 hours of darkness like recommended. Not sure if it did much. I did start to see what almost appears to be nannners forming on both plants about a couple days prior to flipping to dark. As I was bucking off the larger fan leaves I tore open a few of those nanner-looking sacks and found what looks to me like a cluster of white pistils forming. I was also getting a whole lot of weird mutated fan leaves with buds growing on them that were also fused into the main bud itself. Sounds confusing explaining it lol. But both of these plants had some sort of mutation.
I didn’t have hardly any time to do the harvest so I didn’t take nearly as many pictures as I would have liked to. The plants looked wild as hell without all of their support. I did partake in a few buds that had naturally cured on the plants which fell off as I was chopping them down. That Chemmy Jones is .
Both plants were broken downand hung on the ratchet hangars used for the lights. Right now they are dialed in at 58-62ish% humidity at 58ish degrees Fahrenheit. Should be a nice slow and very cool vine dry for hopefully 10-13 days. Sorry for the mess, I just pulled out what I could and pushed all the lights as far as I could on one side.

Speaking of which, time to retire the blurple led. I like the lm301 bar lights much better. I will be purchasing new bar lights in a newer version in the very near future.
As far as the TPS nutes line up goes, I found myself a winner. Only thing I would have added, and should have added, was co2. I’ll get back with everyone with some sort of yield when I get around to it. I’ll probably make some automated curing jars to take care of things for me when it comes time to jar everything up.

Sorry to anyone who stuck around this post for the final dry weight...... I ended up not weighing either plant out. Too much being smoked, too much being given away for people to try and give me feedback, and too much was getting pressed for rosin .
I can definitely say it was well over a half pound between the both of them. Stellar smoke on the Chemmy Jones. Kandy Kush was good but not even close to the potency of CJ.

I picked up a clone of Skunk Ape yesterday that looks promising. I probably shouldn’t have gotten it at this time but the purple has potential . Look out for a new thread on that.
