Low light energy makes for slow growth. Your plants need much more light intensity. I use a spiderfarmer sf4000. Here is a pic. 2 plants 31 days since sprouting are Jack Herer autos and 10 days on the others which are Banana Kush autosHi. I am doing my third grow, but its a long time since Ive done it. But I have some issues with yellow leaves, and generally light color on the plants, and they are dropping the lower leaves too fast I think.
I decided to go quite a challenging route, with organic nutrients in coco/perlite.
I did have some magnesium deficiency a while back, but solved it with cal mag.
It's a 100w spiderfarmer light, and Biobizz nutrients (Bio Grow, Activera, Cal Mag and pH Up. Feeding like every 4 days.
I followed the chart on the Bio Grow, giving 2ml/L @6-6.5pH.
Is this a classic nitrogen deficiency, or could it be something else?
And if it is, I guess I should just up the dosage on the Bio Grow..?
Could it be that because im using LEDs, they need higher consentration of fertilizer due to less evaporation?
And yeah, I have topped the plants quite a lot, a bit here and there, so maybe they got stressed from it?
Just kind of waiting for them to get healthy so I can put them into flower soon :)
Hope someone here can help. I am a bit afraid of giving too much nutrients...
Oh yeah, the strain is CBD Kush from Dutch Passion.
Do you think 3000w in a 4x8 tent is good enough?Low light energy makes for slow growth. Your plants need much more light intensity. I use a spiderfarmer sf4000. I measured the runoff pH to about 4, so that was way too low.I’m having this same issue, what steps did you take to diagnose your plants?
That could possibly be my issue, I was given a gallon jug with the nutrients mixed already so I don’t check the ph when feeding. I have a 4x8 grow tent that I run two 1500w led lights and a 130w grow panel light with two fans blowing from below and two smaller fans blowing above. My issue is I’m not sure if the browning of my leaves and then becoming droopy are from lack of nutrients, fan burn, or even something else. I attached two videos if you see anything I’m missing please let me know.I measured the runoff pH to about 4, so that was way too low.
I flushed it with a lot of water, and then made sure to water with proper pH, and water with some runoff to avoid build up of nastiness. What's your setup and what specific issue do you have?
I think I had issues because I didn't have pH-up in the beginning.
And because of low light intensity the medium stayed wet and sour for a long time.
Well, they're looking pretty good to me! You should measure the pH before you feed, and check the runoff if you're concerned about the media, I think. If the nutrients are organic it turns sour from bacteria after a few days, so it should be fresh. If its chemical fertilizer it shouldn't stay premixed for more than a week I believe. Never done chemical nutrients, so don't take my word for it.That could possibly be my issue, I was given a gallon jug with the nutrients mixed already so I don’t check the ph when feeding. Thank you for the help in advance
Okay should I maybe mix half of the gallon next time or should I be feeding more then 8oz every two days of watering? Also which light should I bring in closer, do you think I need more then 3000w to fill the complete 4x8 tent?Well, they're looking pretty good to me! By the way, I think some of your plants could benefit from coming closer to the light. You want all the plants to as close as possible without burning them :)
