Well ain’t that a bitch, I am sure your heart dropped. Good thing is, you found the issue and it’s been rectified! If Manufactures are going to design this they need to get with green LEDs
Wow…that’s one nice canopy of tops. Exactly what I’m shooting for.Gaia Green grows. Fed yesterday. Still in veg.
Funky Monkey, coco

Wow nice catch WizWent to go check on the closet to see if the Wyze cam was giving off any light. What I stumbled upon was much worse
Fucking potheads. DO NOT USE EXTENSION CABLES WITH LEDs for block heaters! Lmao
Been like this for a year. Now I know what's been causing the banners
@Bullmark69 hit up @Blastfact for any questions with Coco/GG he does quite well with that combo.
Wow nice catch Wiz
Just wrap it in black electric tape.
Power bars also often have indicator lights in their switches.
So sorry to hear about that Shade.. that's freakin wild.
My plant in coco is in a 7.5 gal. Rain Science bag. Same coco I think your using, 70/30 Fox Farm. So while not a air pot like yours it's real close and more airy than a cloth pot. I water just to the point it starts dripping. No more than a 1 or 2 oz. Don't care to waste my Gaia Green on run off. Right now I'm watering 5 quarts every other day. If by chance I forget and go 3 days between waterings it jumps up to 2 gal if not more. Within a week or so I will be at 1 gal. per day. With coco you never ever want to let it dry out. After all coco is basically slow-mo hydro so you always want it moist. I also like my water on the cool side which isn't a issue this time of year. The cooler the water the more oxygen it will have in it. I like to see my water temps between 55f to 70f. I also use Recharge, Power SI in veg and SI Bloom when flowering all at half dose. Also mix in some DE when I feed the Gaia Green every few weeks. Put 1 tbsp of Epsom Salt per gal. every other watering or so. But according to many I don't water soil right because I refuse to let it dry back like 99.999999% are told to do as new growers.Wow…that’s one nice canopy of tops. Exactly what I’m shooting for.
Can U give me any advice on watering coco w/ GG?
I try to completely saturate without generating any runoff…..so I water very very slowly and try to take it right to the limit before it starts dripping. That part I’m ok with.
But the frequency is what I’m a little unsure of.
I have this one photo that’s about 8 weeks and is in a tall slender 7 gal pot. I’m flipping to 12/12 tomorrow. Of course the top half dries out quickly while the lower half is still very moist.
Should I be giving less water but more often and try to keep the entire medium moist? Or treat it more like a soil grow and let it dry before watering again?
I have 2 plants with one in a 5 gal and the other in the 7gal. They appear to be pretty healthy but I wanna make sure I’m doing everything correctly on my end.
Thanks for any help. I appreciate it.
Omg thats like one of my nightmares, i go into my room and gnomes are shining flashlights on my plants to give them nanners lmaoWent to go check on the closet to see if the Wyze cam was giving off any light. What I stumbled upon was much worse

Bro USE DUCTING TAPE to cover lights. Every other tape, including black electrical tape, can bleed light. Shiny aluminum ducting tape, thats what i use to cover the mthfkn lights that every appliance seems to have. Everyone reading this, do a light pollution check on your grow during lights out...do it for your childeren and those after them.yeah I'll do that when I get home! I have everything else taped off but never even considered the actual outlet plug lighting up during lights off and I do not check on my girls ever during lights off so this was a wtf moment lol
Adding kelp, silica (monosilicic acid, not potassium silicate), and mollases, will help for sure and not interfere with Shaded's method.Hi @Shaded_One, do you still use the same nutrients in your grows or have you added/changed anything?
Also if I’m growing autoflowers, do I give less nutrients and photoperiods when following your method?
I plan on starting my very first grow SOON, I’ve just been waiting to finally collect the last few things I need to get started..
I would like to folllow your method as much as I can but was thinking to add some other things in maybe..
what do you think adding kelp, silica for veg, molasses for flower and variety of diff manures and composts.. would these all be good for watering in?
I also would like to do Foliar spraying and heard around somewhere that adding the epsom salt through Foliar spray might work and be better because you don’t disrupt the soil and freak the microbes. What do you also think of this?
I agree, temp swings are also friends with light leaks. They are all part of the nanner alliance which we have to fight to the death.Agree with the tape Z. Also be sure not to stress your plants out in other ways like drastic temp swings. You might just end up with the best herb with seeds around
I agree, gardening has taught me patience, and to accept things that are out of my control. Keeping it simple is crucial, especially when starting out cuz things can spiral out if control quick!Adding kelp, silica (monosilicic acid, not potassium silicate), and mollases, will help for sure and not interfere with Shaded's method.
Foliar of epsom works well too but I also havent had any issues with top dressing and watering, I have dabbled a bit in mixing epsom, triacontanol, and fulvic acids in a foliar spray and havent seen any issues so far.
The extra manures will more greatly affect the nutrient balance so may cause you problems if you dont adjust the other fertilizers.
My buggest suggestion to you and all new growers is to not try too much at once, take the basics of Shaded's method, implement them and see how the plants grow for a round or two. Once you have a feel for the basics and can take your plant from veg through flower without any deficiencies then you can start to play with things.
If you try a bunch of things and keep changing things each time you will take a lot longer to get to the point of being able to take a plant from veg through flower while also spending extra money and time.
Gardening is a sport for the very patient.
My adders to Gaia Green are DE for help with pest control and long term silica media building because I will be reusing my soil and coco. Recharge for microbs. Power SI in plants vegging at hald dose, SI Bloom for plants in flower at half dose. Epson Salt in foliar spray or mixed into water during normal watering. Even throw in a half dose of Calmag here and there. DE gets mixed into my soil or coco when I set up a pot and mix it in with my Gaia Green to start the cook. With DE being added in my Gaia Green feedings. The other stuff is rotated in use as I water. I do keep molasses around and use it as a bump/treat for the plants. Kind of like treats for my dog and the wifes cats.Hi @Shaded_One, do you still use the same nutrients in your grows or have you added/changed anything?
