Hi friends!
I am trying this again after my first profile, which I made a year ago, would not let me post or even access the posts of others after using the site for a short time. This is definitely the best site for these topics, so I am hoping that this time the same thing doesnt happen! Per the rules, I will post pics of my current project, a GSC from seed. The last run ended in my first herm! The smoke was strong as heck, but there were so many seeds it kind of ruined it for me. I was spending like 10 minutes preparing one lousy bowl!

I wonder why I'm seeing new growth popping out of every crotch in the plant rather than pistil hairs? Here's a pic.

I will soon post pics of my plant after the stretch, and then after having supercropped.

I am having a problem maybe 3 weeks into flower. After the stretch, my dang plant's top bud sites are only 15 inches or so from the light and the leaves were beginning to take on the hard-shell taco look. I knew action must be taken. The first thing I did was dial the light back from 100% to 75%, and that eased the taco-ing of the leaves.

Last night I finally gave in and super-cropped (Kushman chiropractic more or less) 2 of the branches. I hope they recover from this action of mine! I have never super-cropped in flower before. My plan is to tie some weights onto the other 6 main bud site branches.

Holy cow this thing grew waaaay taller than I had expected! I decided to just leave the lights at 75% for the rest of the process, as 100% was taco-ing the leaves.
Who has had this occur and what was your solution?
I also did some supercropping on a couple branches.
Any other feedback boys?

Well, what do you think...will keeping this light on at only 75% harm anything? 100%, which I had used very early in its life, was loking like it was frying the leaves, so I backed off. It's about 13 inches from plant leaf tip to light. Began this thing Nov. 19th.

You want to have it around 24-36”

100% was to intense 75% is ok it won’t harm the plant if you raise the light.

Too much light will bleach the leaves

Never have it on 100% leds are to intense.
Seedling's need very little light 25% would be wise.
Veg 50 %
Late veg & flower 75%

Do you have gnats or are the yellow strips just a precaution

Yes, I had gnats, but I think I fixed it by covering the top inch of soil with diatemaceous earth and only watering through the bottom (aka buttchugging). Last night the leaves were praying big-time, so I bumped it up to 100%, and this morning they ARE STILL PRAYING! I think the plant finally reached the point in flwer that it dmanded 100%.

However... I will be watching for any sign of light being too intense after your warning!
I will say, 100% helped by keeping overnight temp at 67 degrees :) 75% would prob be tastier buds though

Praying can be a sign of stress
Your thoughts on them demanding a high vpn isn’t right.
Personally I’d of stuck with it being at 75%
99% of us never put out leds on max settings Still it’s up to you it’s your grow after all.

a good way to get rid of gnats is to buy some predator mites they do no harm & munch the gnats up for breakfast as to speak

Ok, thanks for the guidance! I know turning down light helps w/ taste and smell of buds! Just dialed it back down a bit to 75%

I wonder if these will herm like last time? Only time will tell. Well, actually I read that you can just grab a small bud and check for seeds, even this early.

of course, I have not tested. And what would be the point anyhow? It shall be what it shall be! And with how much seeds go for, my herm-seeds are probably worth a shit-ton of money! I wonder if they are still good?

Temperatures are 50F (10C) inside! I sure hope she can handle this drop in temp. The whole week has been cold and rainy.

Well, the temp in the tent in the daytime (actually overnight) is prob 65F, maybe a bit higher... but the temp in the tent when lights are off is prob just a bit warmer than outside, pretty much 50F this whole week. Thanks for the encouragement!

Oh shit! Are these nanners? The buds look good, but jeez. Got these seeds from HSC. If hermed, it will be the 2nd and last time I use their seeds.
