First time grower. Currently in week 9 of flower, about 90% cloudy - 10% Amber. I've noticed on most of my top sites are purple almost all on one side but when you flip the bud over it's green ? I've never seen this before an searched the the forums and haven't found anything on it. Any advice ?
Some strains will produce purple even under sub-optimal lighting. Others that would normally be green will produce purple under UVA or UVB lighting.
What strain and lighting are you running?
Purple is not a problem, it is the result of the plant producing anthocyanins. Often sought after for bag appeal, does nothing for the user other than make it look "dank" I guess is the term.
Right on ! Thanks for the reply Moe! This strain in blue gelato is what I was told from the guy I got it from. The lights are just cheap amazon LEDs, Bloom plus to be exact.
