hey dude,

looking good! & merry christmas. i seen up in the thread a ways, you asked about silica.

i'm not sure about dirt, but i can show you what it does in hydro. i've never used

it b4 this plant and i'm pretty astonished so far. the plant is 53 days from seed

today, as you can see, the trunk is almost as big as my wrist and the upper main

branches are as big as my finger right under the tops. if you ask me, i say silica

for the win, just make sure to add it to plain water 1st, then calmag, then the

rest of ingredients .

ps. this plant was only (until yesterday) topped one time @ the 3rd set of

leaves. it now has well over 100 tops (i'm guessing, it's very thick)

Yeah, so far. Going to top dress soon with flower girl. Don't wanna wait too long. It's hard to judge with the autos.

Damn! That's looking good. I've been giving just under 5 mills of silica per gallon. Think I'm going to bump it up some.

4 weeks or so since sprout. Been slowly defoliating so the bud sites get more light.

My A vs T I think might have issues. The leaves are curling down, new growth as well. Thought it might be overwatering but the medium is pretty dry.

May be I'm underwatering lol. Idk. Still alternating watering. Silica, kelp extract. Molasses every 2 weeks thus far.

@Captspaulding to take a look, he's the resident expert

here's a good resource to keep on hand.

Yessir nitrogen tox and im thinking over watered too.
I just run water through that for a feed or two after it has dried back I would just back off nitrogen altogether for a couple of feeds. I see that it’s starting to pre-flower is that an auto? Are you i to p and k?

As far as the light stress part, there’s really no markers for that anywhere on that plant like on the leaf edges or any you know the leaf tips or anything like that it’s looking pretty good on the lower growth. It’s just the nitrogen toxicity and overwatering will generally manifest on the top parts of the plant. Good call on the n tox though.
The grower should know that any other damage it has occurred on all those top leaves. There’s nothing you can do to really rectify that they’re just gonna look like that until the end of the run unfortunately
Yeah, they suck to look at but more leaves bigger buds

So wet, dry cycles, they’re crucial when you go ahead and you water your plant and you saturate the medium entirely you shouldn’t feed it again at all until it has dried back to the point where you could pick up your plant and the pot and it feels like the pot is the equivalent of Styrofoam‘s weight It’ll get that light before a dry back wiit will occur. You’ve just gotta keep an eye on it you know you gotta allow air to get to the root zone if it doesn’t get to the root zone it’ll stunt growth. It’ll stop uptake and your plan will start to do what it’s doing. What size pot is that and what’s your airflow circulation and ventilation settings?

I came in from work one Friday night so stressed out and pissed about crap going on at work. I opened one of my tents, got a handful of bud and a bottle of scotch out and proceeded to get shit faced. Once relaxed a bit It was time to feed and water. And somehow I really screwed up and got a massive N load in the pot. The plants turned on and they were off to the races. And I kept slamming down the bud and scotch. I set there and watched the leaves get greener and greener,,,, darker and darker over the next few hours. About the time the leaves turned black. They had turned so dark green they were black. I came out of my stooper and took them out and flushed them with the garden hose. I'd never seen anything like that,,, at all!!! After the massive flush the leaves started turning green again. I figured I had killed the plants and that was that. But in two days it was like it never happened.

I thought the one was looking too green. Other than that she looks nice, to me.

I thought it could be light stress so I turned the light intensity down some. At the end of the curl it feels pretty dry. So I thought maybe she's thirsty lol.

I was afraid to water her when she started because I didn't want to drown her. Since than I've been gradually giving more water. I should have fully saturated and felt the difference in weight.

As for the nitrogen tox, would you recommend I flush? I may have made the soil too hot. First time going organic.

Recently bought a cheap lux meter and soil ph tester. From my calculations the par was 560. The soil ph was 7.

Definitely nitrogen toxicity. I waited until the soil was bone dry before I watered again. I may have been underwatering

The soil was hydrophobic. Watered them with 1 gallon of water each. They're in 5 gallons of soil. Not sure if 1 gallon is enough.

I have 2 questions. Is it worthwhile to keep them going and if so should I use flower girl for flower? It has nitrogen, or should I try to find something with just P and K?

Not sure if anyone's watching but buds are starting to form. They're around 2 weeks into flower. Starting to get purple stems. That may be an issue, I'm not sure.

Lowered humidity to 60%. 75 F. I want to add some bloom nutes but don't want to add more nitrogen. Possibly give them worm casings.

I'd like to get rid of more lower bud sites but I don't know if it will stunt them. Giving 1 tbsp/ gallon molasses every other week. Silica and kelp every other week.
