My dear friend Joe left us this morning at 12.15 am.
Joe was battling lung cancer for over a year.
He died peacefully at home with his wife Pam by his side...
He went quick. last visit he look good and was cheerful over his first successful medical grow which I helped him with.
Such a big hearted man. Would meet him on hikes in the mountains with his dog Ben, just another person, he so much enjoyed his daily hikes...
What joy he brought to so many and I am so glad to have brought him joy by being his true friend as he told me I am a true fiend..
Wow how bitter sweet....

Sad to hear about your friend. Its always the hardest to lose the people who inspire us. Gonna watch his Woodstock performance right now and smoke one in his honor.

Thanks Joe!

I saw this on the news this morning and oddly enough knew right away you would put the thread up. Sad news indeed.

He was great, R.I.P.

Take care.

Hearing stories about your visits with Joe always made me smile. Never met him but felt he knew what we were about over here through that sharing/caring thing you carried out so well over the years that you knew him. Many thanks and much respect for the enlightenment. I think many times we set such folks on pedestals and forget that underneath it all they are just like we are.

RIP Joe

On the longest night he left us.
He told me he will not beat this. He also said he was so grateful for being blessed in so may ways.
We were both sober from alcohol for 14 years, we understood what the other side is like with out the misery we cause our selfs...
Joe enjoyed the simple things...

Joe liked me because I never put him on the pedestal, never asked for tickets or back stage, backstage was a pain for Joe all the fanfare, he liked the solitude of the Mad dog Ranch...
His favorite all time was that blueberry cut.
Brought him the plant, he re named it blue bonnet. his care taker and him knocked it out of the park last season, his 1st grow..Was fascinated by how sticky everything was....
Smoking a joint from one of his plants right now listening to KVNF radios tribute can stream live.
One time at one of his parties I felt a ;little out of place, lotss of aspen types. Joe came over and got me and we sat with some folks and he introduced me and told them all about my farm and lifestyle, the chicken pot pies I made for him that he loves...
The cocker kid foundation has donated over 1 million dollars over the years to local kids..
Streaming live now is Joe singing I shall be released...

So sorry to hear your friend Joe passed. He was a wonderful musician.
One of my all time favorite songs , " I get high with a little help from my friends."

70 is way to young to die. You were a good friend chickenman.

I can't recall ever seeing pictures of buds actually grown by a famous person.

My wife came home from work and said joe crocster died and I corrected her and said you mean cocker and proceeded to sing " what would you do if I sang out of turn " in my best whiskey voice. Then she said he died peaceful at home in Co. doing what he enjoyed to do and then asked me if I thought that was growing ( as she assumes that everyone in Co. grows ) to this I thought yea probably to myself , forgot all about the previous post from chicken that I had read
It was cool to log on and see it was true . I'm glad you had the chance to be his friend @chickenman

Rip joe
