Mel Brooks turned 100 today. He is responsible for some of the funniest movies ever made, Blazing Saddles, The Producers (both the movie and play). I was lucky enough to see the Producers in San Francisco, wasn't the broadway cast, but Martin Short and Jason Alexander played the leads! Also, classics like Young Frankenstein, and Robin Hood Men in Tights. Plus he was a creator/writer for Get Smart, Show of Shows, and the Sid Ceasar Show, to name a few.
