Grew herb back in the late 90s early 2000s.
Trying again nearly 20 years later.
Much smaller scale these days.
Primary experience in hydroponics with hps.
Plan on trying a couple different methods this time, soil, dwc, with leds.

Blueberry muffins sounded delicious

Welcome! Nice to have you here!

Have fun and if you need any advice, just fire away.

I'm also a returning grower. Had 600W HPS and a couple of nice runs. Now at the second run. Trying to regain some knowledge and keep learning every day.

Thank you for the welcome!
Funny how you say regain some knowledge. I was surprised at all that I had forgotten.
Trying with seeds this time around. Previously I was almost exclusively into clones.
Made a few mistakes already but seem to be on track now.
I will definitely reach out if I have questions and likewise feel free, sometimes I even surprise myself.

OK, I’m assuming that’s an auto?
So the dirt it’s way too wet for a plant that size the pot it’s way too big to start a plant in. It’s been taking me a bunch of time and a lot of effort to try and explain to a lot of new growers that putting your plants in such large pots can be detrimental for a few different reasons, mainly the fact that when a medium is wet, one of the main ways it gets dried out is through the plant eating the food that’s drying out the pot aside from airflow and can become a problem because if you saturate the medium, the roots will be stifled and drowning, and they won’t be searching for new places to go and then causing the plant to actually propagate Saturating medium in the beginning of its life it’s just getting to veg. A lot of the time can be counterproductive so if it is an auto pot won’t die if you take it out of it and put it in a bigger one I haven’t seen one single plant on earth that doesn’t like to pot it up if it’s in a container, it promotes healthy growth. It allows for healthy drawbacks, which is what growing plant and veg is all about is ensuring that the wet and dry cycles become consistent at the same amount for the same amount of time to get air back into the dirt because it needs to survive which drives the roots to look for more in the medium and translates to a healthy fast growing plant so it’s a problem is such a tiny plant doesn’t have a root system that’s large so a lot of the time even in fabric pots all the water washes right past the route zone and it all settles at the bottom of the pot And when that happens, you’re essentially creating your dead zone because the plants roots will not be able to penetrate something that’s so waterlogged and then you know later on down the line if you do get the plant harvested, you’ll go to yank the ball and you’ll find that maybe a quarter of the pot has been filled with roots where the other 3/4 is soaking wet still Would really get a fan pointed at that pot not the plant but the pot to aid in a faster dry back now, since you’re gonna have to do this, do not feed that plant anything until that pot is Dried out one way to determine this is to imagine that the pot Is Styrofoam once the plant and the pot itself gets to feel like it’s filled with Styrofoam Dirt will avoid dry back because generally about 2 to 3 days before it will start to suffer with no water so plenty of time to be able to make determination

Thanks for the info.
The plant shown in the photo was one of three seedlings I accidentally nuked with to much nitrogen. One of the three couldn’t be saved the other two I was able to save by first placing them in dwc buckets with straight water no nutes. Concerned about nutrient lockout I took a chance and placed them in soil, as I’ve had luck in the past bringing them out of lockout by doing just this.
The wet appearance it because they had just been watered. I live in a very dry climate and I’m lucky to get 20% humidity in the tent. The humidifier I ordered is on back order and won’t be here for a couple of weeks. I do have a fan up close and blowing directly on the pots. I wait to water until pots become light weight and try not to over saturate during watering.

It also might behoove you to elevate the Pots a little to get some airflow underneath them! Good luck!

I like this idea. I don’t like them sitting directly on top of the plastic like they are.
What do you think of cutting a hole in the side of the bucket for a small fan and drilling holes in the lid?

I really don’t know what you have going on there, but something like a couple of one by ones. Or whatever you can scrounge up just to get some airflow underneath the pots! It doesn’t have to be pretty! But whatever you decide, I would clean up before bringing into the tent. Just want to expose as much of the pot as possible to airflow! The wet, dry cycles mentioned above are probably the most important thing! And next grow mixing a good amount of perlite in with your soil, can really help with that!

Might want to consider getting rid of all of that yellow crap! Just two cents! If you haven’t already!

Man oh Man! It’s a pot farm from heaven!!
My biggest question is “can I fuck something up by changing light cycle back to 18/6 or 20/4”? so they can bust open with gifts of wonder for Christmas..
