Morning,
Have any of you growers used these blumat carrots and drippers?
I bought them last year and have never tried them, I’m going away for a week and need to up pot my blue cheese.
It’s either that or just stick with timer pumps ?
Thought it might be worth a shot I normally hand water.
Any advice on res placement would be good and do they handle nutrients ok without to much blocking?
Any advice much appreciated

I would only use them blumats for watering only. They clog too easily. And it takes a couple weeks to properly set them up. I'd say not to try them if your leaving soon.

Its still a seedling really I potted her up to a much bigger pot and gave it a good soaking, I have set it up anyways I’m pretty sure it won’t dry out enough in a week, I’ve found most so far don’t mind a good dry back.
I’m able to monitor whilst away although I can’t WiFi a watering can yet
Thanks all

It takes about 2 weeks to induce flower in most strains. That's why I drop lights to 6hr while I'm galavanting about fer a few days.

I’ve read that a couple of times now and just can’t get my head around it, could you explain that to me in a layman’s way?
Would less light not encourage flowering ?

It does, and some do the 24 hours of darkness at the flip, some do 10 or 11 hours of lights on, and just the standards 12. At the end it still takes about two weeks for the photoperiod plant to figure out, oh wait.. light schedules changed, lets flower! All good, whatever your flipping tradition is.
