Sorry to butt in but I was wondering....I have a Maui Wowie strain and she is just being a bitch! Very hard to clone.....does not like the flowering room at all and the 2 mothers I had in flowering we finally tossed because they looked like death eating a cracker. Seems to do OK outside in veg for the most part but wondering if you have any advice on just what exactly conditions I should give her to make her happy? Super humidity? Does not seem to like much heat really:-/ My partners say get rid of her but I just know there is something I am not providing that she needs and then she will be happy...or at least I hope so:) I have 13 clones that made it out of over 50. Here is a shot of them and a close up of one. Sorry to interrupt your thread but any advice would be greatly appreciated:)
Interesting....I'm not sure why you're having bad luck with the plant. Did you start from seed or clone? My first guess is you just might have a bad pheno. Have you grown this plant to fruition?WA state - right on the border with Oregon on the east side of the Cascades - high mtn desert really - average summer temps of 80-90 with next to no rain. Humidity is good at night though and we can provide misting or whatever necessary to give them what they need.
Perhaps that is it but I got 50 cuttings from a med patient in Portland in January. Of those only 3 made it and I normally have a very good cloning success rate so that was a bit of a bummer to begin with. The ones I have are so delicate....look like an exotic special sort of Japanese maple or something but we babied them along and put 2 into flower. They were OK at first....not bulking up much...staying sort of fragile looking but then about 4 weeks into flowering they just started loosing all their leaves.....little non bulky buds and really just loosing health every day. Put them into our infirmary that is cooler temps and higher humidity but the flowering ones never snapped out of it and we disposed of them yesterday. The one outside is looking ok and these 13 clones look just like the other 3 did at this stage of development......light green.....delicate thin very sawtooth edge leaves. Healthy seeming but I wondered if they require a different regime of nutes or something? Just want to give them what they need but I am not sure that I am really doing that since the 2 in flower did so poorly. I have pretty healthy plants for the most part and just want these ladies to thrive and prosper so wondered if there was something specific to the strain that I am missing....thanks for taking the time to respond:)

@Coot, nice plants dude, how did your Ortega burn? So no rot on the Ghash? Might have to get my pak out. The Yumboldts pretty stable?
Some of my favorite weed I have ever smoked has been Hawaiian strains and that is the only reason I am persisting with these.
Thanks Braddah! So far no mold with the Ghash it's nice and potent too, it smells like a strawberry shake.
The Ortega is nice smoke right before bed, it's some sleepy smoke, its kinda minty, gear oil/burnt rubber smelling
YB/LAW has been the most stable so far, found one nut sack on the bottom of the YB/L.A. Con.
