I have been down there everyday, it is a lot more of people helping people than folks preying on folks. Sure plenty druggies, but must have been some good karma down there for nobody to get hurt.

@Cooter all respectable now with a french wine avatar? You don't fool me. Lol

@SurfdOut

HAHAHA its' not a French wine label, the wine producer is Randall Grahm from Bonny Doon Vineyards in the Santa Cruz Mountains of California, Randall Gram one of my favorite wine makers of all time, the dude is a complete eccentric wing nut. The wine label you see is Randall making fun of a French law in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation prohibiting flying saucers from traveling over the region's vineyards. The label is a Flying Cigar that is in the shape of a UFO that is definitely shining its death ray on the French vineyard below. It’s just Randall’s silly way of making fun at the some of the absurdities the French are known for. The label just cracks me up, and the wine is killer too!

Anybody have any thoughts on how much phosphorus a plant actually needs? The high P myth.

If were talking pk boosters i prefer the pk 13/14 which is actually 10/11. My plants love it an when ever I use higher on the p boosters I usually get burn.

I'm going to use some Big Up 0-33-23 powder this run since i got some freebies of it. I dont think they need per say in the 50 range of P like koolbloom powder an the likes.

I know your organic so these dont apply to ya. Are ya talking about your pre mixing stage or tea's?

I don't use bloom foods at all. I think plants need "P" but not as much as everybody seems to think. I'd most definitely call it a myth for sure,

You know my style brah, I do an organic based soil all the way through veg, when it's time to flower I up can into my organic based soil, add a little Oscomote (3-1-2) and it's pretty much water only from that point, If the plant needs something it'll let me know, in my experience I've never had a "P" deficiency.

Cannabis really isn't that much different than any other foliage annul. Foliage annuls feed from their leaves not the root system, so if your plants leaves are nice and green and you keep pounding the root system with something the plant doesn’t need to maintain healthy green leaves you’ll eventually lock up all your essential elements because they start to work against each other.

The lockouts typically appear as PH problem or N-P-K deficiencies when in fact it’s all the crap you loaded in the root zone and its staring to work against each other. Then the typical dip-shit will continue feeding the fucking plant thinking it’s hungry or they flush and drown the fucking plant chasing a PH that doesn’t exist

Have you ever heard of a professional nurseryman recommend using High “P” bloom foods for an herb garden? The key to foliage annuls is to maintain healthy green leaves until harvest, how would you like to go to your favorite Italian joint for dinner and some ding –dong chef adds a bunch of faded yellow herbs all over your overpriced pasta? I’d fucking whack over the head with it.

Bottom line if you start off with good genetics, maintain nice healthy leaves until harvest mother nature and the plants genetics will produce a quality product

This isn’t much of a debate for me, I’ve seen growing cannabis for a long time, and I’ve tried all the anecdotal parroted stoner myths and the weed always sucked, in my experience keeping it simple and understanding what the plant actually needs has produced the finest cannabis for me.

Honestly I'd suggest buying some real gardening books and applying the techniques you'll learn from the books to your future grows....right now it sounds like you really have no idea what you're doing, not that that's a bad thing we all learn from our mistakes and I've made plenty of them on my own, that's why I'm able to reach the conclusions I've stated above.

Lol misunderstanding cooter. My plants love it when i give them their boost of pk13/14......but burn(《~~) when i use higher boosters. So i dont use the higher pk boosters.

Burn is bad, i know that......high pk boosters suck. I use a low dose of pk13/14.

Arthritis, why do you put the P and K together? I know you have been growing a long time, I value your input. I'm talking about when I build my soil, I haven't made a tea in years since reusing my soil for a couple years. But teas certainly are good.

This is the thread that got me thinking, please check out and give some feedback.

Don't take it personal brah....I'm just trying to help you.

I'm pretty blunt and straight to the point when it comes to grow advice. I do have a scene of humor, and love to horse play...but with grow advice you'll get the straight up a matter of fact advice from me, please don't take it personal most newbs get all out of whack when they been doing things a certain way only to find out they're really fucking up their plants. Take my advice for what is worth, if it "ain't yo thang" you're certainly not going to hurt my feeling. Sorry if i hurt your feelings that wasn't my intention

The thing that started me thinking was looking at the complete nutrient kit on Buildasoil.org, the one designed by Clackamas Coot(LumperDawg) doesn't have the P one would expect. By the way, that is a great website to order from.

Lol, I've erased 5 times now. I'm a bottle nute guy, p an k come together in boosters. The thread sound right on a synthetic stand point, having a medium of zero nutrition. From my understanding if ya charge your organic mix correctly, it will take care of the plants needs all the way through with proper up potting at key times. I'm still learning organic.
