I've been using fermented comfrey, rabbit manure, and ewc tea for the last couple months for my budding plants.
I just started a batch of fermented plant juice that has different plants new growth (for growth hormones) and flowering plants (supposed to be high in phosphorus and potassium).

I got them from a friend here in Puna.
He hasn't had room to grow them so he hooked me up.
Yea, good thing no fires. I hadn't thought of that while I was out there.
Interestingly, there was a freshly bulldozed path that may very well have been for a fire break, that was headed more towards the vent. Almost parallel to Ainaloa.

Nice slurry you made.....yeah I use my rabbit and chickens by-product regularly. I don't differentiate between flower or veg too much, I just trying to keep the soil full as I reuse my soil. I been using a lot of alfalfa.

Greek, have you looked at LivingOrganicSoil.org or TheLogicalGardener for biodynamic accumulators and such?

You should try a mamaki(nettle) FPJ. Watercress and dandelions are also packed with nutrients.

I just recently joined LOS after reading about it on here, I think from you. Thank you. That site is just what I've been looking for.
I used to pay for my nutrients, but that got too expensive so I stopped everything and have been trying to make my own since. With the info on that site, I should be good to go.
Do dandelions grow here on BI?

Hey Greek, yeah those guys are good, a little arrogant, but good info. They are the feel good hippy side and TheLogicalGardener is the scientific side and the guys don't like each other and try to prove each other wrong....it is sad and funny at the same time.

Not yet but picked up some mamaki to plant at the new place.

Here is a nice chart of dynamic accumulators of nutrients for composting but you can also use it when deciding on plants to ferment. Equal parts brown sugar should quickly extract the nutrient content in about a week.

Nice list dude, I gotta do a better job of composting. Then just add some of that everytime I reuse the soil.
