OP, I don't think it's right to assume your plants gender. Have you asked it what it associates with?

Still in veg. mode
It is still branching symmetrically.
When the branches start to grow alternately, look again.

To early to tell. Let it veg longer and look again. Two white "hairs" at the node is female, ball/balls on a short stalk at the node is male.
