Just got the mail today and there was a letter from my health ins company informing me I just got a 10% increase in my premiums. I haven't has a claim since I retired other than an annual physical. The letter went on to explain that the increase was due to the affordable health care act (Obama Care). Wait a minute, he promised the country our rates wouldn't go up over this additional care for the uninsured. Again fucked by the government. I loved Pelosi when she said we have to pass this legislation so we can open it up and see what is inside. Lies, lies, lies. I for one have had enough, but wtf can a flea on an elephant's ass like me can do about it.

Maybe if we caught someone lying and didn't vote for the shit heads they would quit
LYING.

Prerequisite for being a politician. Do they go to school to learn this stuff. I guess you just have to pick the one with the least amount of flies.

Medicaid??!! better hope you're not there cause your disabled..the "Spend Down" program is harsh bro...they basically want to force some to live on dirt..literally.
This whole movement with Obama is going to serve the whole of middle class peoples...not the most needy. I think that's the point folks are missing. It's filled with good intentions..but what of the whole bottom up thinking? I fear for what's ahead..perhaps a train wreck as we figure out the Med Law our Lawyer/Pres has written and if the Hospitals/Doctors can keep up with the Baby Boomers..they still have to deal with a whole onslaught of lower middles who go to Er just to get care.
..for those fixing to retire and rely on Medicare..I'll be praying for you..hoping that sucker stays afloat..unaffected by the waves to come.

Ahhh medicare, yup looking forward to it. Right now I am paying (with the increase) $2,7oo a quarter (me and the wife). On an major medical policy with a $6,000 deductible. I really think the affordable health car act will help the poor the most. Now that I think about it sanvanaola may have a point. Think about it...if you can show very little net worth and income (think underground income) you probably will qualify for all kinds of supplemental health care. Yes it will probably be sub par, but at least you have it. Any way you look at it America no longer has the best health care available.

"your premiums will not see an increase" lol...I think the idea is to eventually force everyone onto Obamacare(expanded medicare) fwiw.
American hospitals are under-staffed and over-worked already...it's gonna get worse imo...I think the limit for ER Nurses is 8 or 9 patients now that's tough..but I expect an increase as the quality goes down further. I'm all for the helpless getting help..but if you spend some time talking to hospital staff you'll learn people go there for a lot more than emergency. If we want to make a difference we should clean up our air, food, and water. It makes more sense than band-aids and pills.

So I heard this shit is going to be mandatory, like you have to have insurance, if you don't you get find, and if you don't the bill adds up. So basically if you don't pay out the 5k a year, each year the shit adds up interest and all. So lets say you go five years not paying for your Obama care, you owe the government 25k, plus fines and interest. The 5k is the your broke number, some of these plans are estimate to run into the 10's of thousands. These are estimates. They aren't even saying what it will really cost.

Idk I don't have 5 racks to be shucking out every year for some shit I don't want or need. Fucking bullshit. This shit is some bullshit like straight bullshit.

Fucking bullshit. Eerrrr!

All I know is I can hardly get by on what I make now. Eating top ramen 2x a day to make my $15 food budget work aint very healthy.

I can tell you from experience, A year ago you would have A dozen people here ripping you A new butt hole telling you how "Great" Obama and his health care plan is... Lawyers haven't figured it out yet and that's why you hear about A new way your being "Ass Raped by Obama Care" weekly. Meanwhile, UPS has decided to drop health care for tens of thousands of employees spouses to cut cost, Walmart, Home Depot, Subway, Papa Johns Pizza, University of Virginia, Local Governments, Public Schools, half of "All" small business just to name A few are "All" on the record as "Cutting Employee Hours to Part Time" to defer costs. It all takes A toll... If people aren't working how does Obama the Great propose people are going to "Pay" for health care??? The guy is A Narcissistic Fucking Idiot that just has to have his name attached to something to prove how great he is regardless of the cost to the middle and lower class... Big Business has been granted A waiver and doesn't have to "Pay" until long after Mid Term Elections o_O Congress has already "Exempted" it's self from this Obama Care piece of Shit and that says it all... Fuck Obama :finger:

Once I realized that the new Health Care 'Plan' was to force people into BUYING health care insurance, I knew it was gonna be a clusterfuck. What we need, as a nation, at this point is SOCIALIZED health care, not a guaranteed customer base for already-profitable insurance companies. I used to be against it, but now I see it's really the only way.

If socialized health care is so great why do people from those countries come Here for specialized health care? Check out Canada for example... People there are on waiting lists for years before they ever even make it in for things such as hip implants and knee replacements that could greatly improve their lives, many die waiting for simple heart surgery, they come here and have immediate access... Private health care where the patient is "Pro Active" across state lines so you take your policy with you like you take your cell number when you change carriers, Transparency in billing so you Know the cost incurred from one place to the next instead of "Allowing" Insurance to bill whatever they please (Fraud) because it varies in the 10's of thousands from one place to another for the same treatment / condition and patient to doctor prevention (Can't happen in "Socialized" one plan fits all health care cause you will never see the same dr.) as opposed to "Treatment" and A yearly savings account per say that A patient is in control of that would roll over to the following year if unused and transferable to family or friend if one chooses to do so (Healthy People "Make" money by saving) is the only answer in my opinion...

And we have people coming from Costa Rica (another country rated better in terms of its overall health care by the WHO), Cuba, Italy, Great Britain, Norway, The Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark... I could go on, all are countries with socialized health care.

Truthfully, I'd rather pay a little bit more in taxes and know that EVERYONE is covered, than pay these much higher premiums (my husband's paycheck went down by over $100/check just for the health insurance) which really *only* guarantee the insurance companies better profits. We've created a fucking chimera here in the U.S., and it's bringin' me down.

Yeah, good in theory... but people aren't paying A "Little" more are they? Government can't just take from the "Haves" or "Have Littles" to pay for the have nots or eventually everybody will "Have Not" Refer to Government and Congressional Record in the United States for the "Benefit of the People" and you have all you need to know ;)

Not just in theory, SoCal. People in Denmark, for example, a very socialized country, have one of the highest standards of living, better than ours for sure. Same in Sweden, Norway, and possibly in a little bitty country like Costa Rica. The way we're doing things here in the good ol' U. S. of A. just ain't workin' for We the People.
