Hello there fellow farmers I am having a problem with heat and need to pick your beautiful brains. I have a 2x2x3 grow tent I have 1 2ft 4bulb t5 light. I have a 6 inch vivosun inline fan moving 390 cfm and my temps stay between 79-81 i am in veg right now so I know those temps are not horrible but I'd like to bring it to 75 if I could especially when I switch to flower as I plan to use a 150watt hps

More watts is more heat
Obviously run an air cooled hood
If u don't or can't install a portable a/c you'll need to run your house a/c if u have one
If you run your line guys at night that might help u out

You don't need much
It's a small tent
Less watts is less heat wich is less a/c needed
50 watts per sq ft is what's suggested

Thanks for the reply cheif..do you have any recommendations as far as hps light goes for that space...I can't find anything with a hood less the 24 inches which is the length of my tent 2x2x3..would my best bet be One of those 150 watt sunburst or something similar?

do you have any of the lower vents open on the tent ? that fan should cool teice as much light/heat as you have.what are the temps inside the room the tent is in,usually this can be the problem with tent temps, not so much your setup but where it is sitting is too hot.

this would blow away 250w hps,its dimmable as well and good for veg and flower.you can ask them to put the cob spacing at 18 inches so you have the lights around 6 inches off the walls or just roll with it like it is.

It's definitely going to raise your temperatures hard to say exactly but I would figure at least 10°

This is the HO T5 light fixture I have in my 2x2x1 tent chamber.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00P...ft+12+bulb&dpPl=1&dpID=31i6zgksJrL&ref=plSrch
Should fit yours but you should measure between the tent corner poles before you order anything.

My 6" fan cools both chambers of my tent containing 400 watt hps, 2 led bulbs, clip on fan & 2' 12bulb t5.

If you have this 12 bulb in your tent well ventilated by a dedicated 6". You should stay right in the zone.

You can always set up air coming in with a 4" fan to help cool it down but I would look into one of the HO t5 a 250 hps will be over kill in your little box of tricks mate .

Thanks for the responses friends. I am about to go into flower so I really was interested in upgrading from t5 altogether for that. But I think I may have to stick with them because I don't think I can control the heat from a 150 watt hps....

Does anyone know of an led light that might compare to a 150 watt hps?

With your limited height.
T5 may be your best bet.
That 12 bulb t5 (24,000 initial lumens) would put you at 2k lumens per cubic foot.

Or 6k lumens per a sq ft depending how you measure.

A 150 hps would put you at
Between 13k-15k lumens.

Thats 1083-1250 lumens per cubic foot. Or 3250-3750 lumens per sq ft.

The 8 bulb t5 is a 150 hps equivalent putting out 16k initial lumens. My 8 bulb pulls around 150-160watts from the wall
