I started seeds in 1 gallon pots in July. Now I'm ready to transplant to 3 gallon before going into flower. I'm using coco with perlite. I notice that when I water the leaf tips curl down as if they been overwatered. I was watering plants with about 1 quart of water during that time.

Now I water them with 15 to 20 ounces of water. With that amount of water there are no more over watering symptoms but I have to water every 2 to 3 days. I thought maybe the plants were getting root bound and were ready for transplanting.

When I remove some of the plants
from the pots they didn't show any roots at the bottom which was surprising considering how long they been growing and how big plants are.

I came to the conclusion that maybe the soil is too hard and compact for root penetration. Overall plants look very healthy. This my first time using coco and I added perlite but I don't understand why I'm having these issues. What should I do? Do you think it's still worth transplanting?

If you want to grow in coco you need to pop over to Coco for cannabis and study up on it a bit.
This will make life much easier for you.
Hope this helps you.
