There are so many variables when choosing a light. How big is your grow space?

I wouldnt go with less than 50W per square foot. You can do with less but the yield will not be the same. Also a LED panel, no bulbs or sticks. Also beware and check the real wattage of the panel because they advertize it as "equivalent to XXXWatts" thats not the real wattage thats just bullshit they like to put in there. Its suposed to be the equivalent to a HPS light but as I said, its complete bullshit, check the product characteristics for the real Wattage.

You dont need to buy an expensive brand. There are LED panels in amazon for 60-80 dollars that are 150W. I use 2 chinese 125W LEDs for my small indoors (2,5x2,x5 feet), brand niello, and 2 cheap cosmos light x150W in the big one (3x3 feet). All of them were around 60 euros each. Theyre gonna get hotter than a good panel and the spacing is not as good but the price is half. Maybe someone from the US can recommend you a cheap panel, I live in Spain so not the same options. Also for me its important that theyre full spectrum and if they have infrared and ultraviolet thats a plut but if not thats okay, I look for cool white, warm white and red minimum. (Thats the color spectrum, it will tell you in the specifications). Avoid blurples (only blue + red or purple/pink).

been looking for one I was looking at this one https://www.spider-farmer.com/products/sf1000d/. It's 2 'x2' but ultimately like to get 4'x4' ac bar lights I think 2x2 will work just fine for now without a tent thanks for replying

My pleassure, thats a very decent planel, spider farmer is a good brand and they use samsung diodes which is always better than generic chinese diodes. So you will upgrade to AC for 4x4 coverage after you buy a tent?

It's only $70, not too expensive, just need to buy a clothes rack to hang it from and hang to dry, cure buds

Never used it, so I cant really say. What I can say is that different strains and phenos eat different so Im always skeptical about the use once for all grow stuff. I had plants that needed very little food and showed signs of toxicity even with half dose and plants that Ive been feeding full dose all waterings so theres that. I use ammendments for a base nutrition but for calibration I use liquids because you can see how they react and adjust accordingly pretty quickly unlike with ammendments.
That said, you can add a bit more if theyre hungry but it will take a few days before they stop being hungry unlike with liquid nutes. As for the formula it has all they need, NPK and other minerals. There's more things you can add to improve yields but that will cover the basic needs.
