first time posting, can I have some help identifying the yellowing and drooping. The problem seems to be starting at the top leaves, the bottoms have really nice coloring. I have moisture meters that I’ll keep between 28~40%, mostly watering every other day. I’m using the soil makers living soil “water only” in 5gal fabric pots. I have a few outdoor plants of different cuts running the same soil that are doing excellent. The different treatment the indoor has gotten was one watering with organics alive brand V-S grow, a veg additive, and more worm castings than the outdoor got on transplant. Picture was taken 3 hours and 30 min after lights on so the drooping does concern me. Have held a good humidity, and vpd. Temps were a bit high for a few days but nothing crazy. Any other info need I can provide. Thanks for any help

What is your light set at (%), what light are you using and how far away?

Also, are you watering every other day out of habit or because the plants need it and the medium has dried back?

I run a s33 from ac infinity at 7 currently, about 14-16inches away from tops. As far as watering I was just following Ecowitt moisture meter levels, and advice from build a soil to keep it in those percentages. I have noticed that when the soils reading at mid 20’s it still feels a bit moist.

You're watering too soon. Cannabis likes a dryer mix. Water when your meter is between 20 and 25% moisture. At 40%, that's close to field capacity and that's way too wet for the dry side of the wet/dry cycle.

Edit: Your watering routine is more suited to tomatoes/watermelon/bell peppers but not cannabis.

Ok thank you I’ll try this out, after watering what percentage would be normal?

I would back your light down a bit. 70% seems a bit intense for your current stage of growth. You’ll want that type of intensity during flower.

Ok I’ve set it back to 6 and moved the light up to 24”, I’ll keep an eye out for changes thank you!

This app helps for lights:

I don’t know exactly where you’re at in your cycle week wise but judging by similar growth, I have my bar about 24-30” from the canopy and aim for about 400-500 PAR.

Yes, when chasing down leaf issues, always turn down your lighting. It gives you time to sort through the issues ... Now you have 2 reasons to dim your light.

Worry more about watering slowly and saturating all your soil. Don't use your moisture meter here. Instead, stop when you begin to see run-off. Then water again once your meter shows significant dry back. 20-25% should be fine if your meter is accurate.

Ok that’s good to know, downloaded the app and bought the led reader. 6 at 24” away is around 550-600par. 5 at 24” away is 485-515par. I toned it down to 5 at 24” thanks for the tips appreciate it big time. What pad do you shoot for in flower?

Ok thank you so much, I’ll definitely implement all of the advice!
