Last night I got up at 2am and realized that, while the grow lights had gone off on their timer at 7pm, I had inadvertently left the overhead ceiling fan light on in my flower room. Of course, I immediately turned it off. But now I'm wondering what is best to do.

What I have done (whether good or not) is to keep the grow lights off this morning, and set them to go on at 2pm today so that the plants get 12 hours of darkness, and then off again at the regular time of 7pm, thereafter going back to my 7am-7pm schedule. Is this the best remedy? Or should I be doing something else?

One of the strains I'm growing is known to herm out pretty easily. So that's what I'm trying to avoid. What should I do?

Drink water drive on. Not much you can do. I think leaving them off is unecessary but you could do that if it makes you feel better. It happens though.... One time should be fine unlike a continuous light leak. I was going to recommend the extinguisher balls if you are worried about fire. That or extinguisher hangers. Just saw you mentioned it in your diary about being nervous about it. maybe that would help

Getting them back on their regular schedule is all you can do, and just be extra vigilant for male flowers.
