Please somebody just explain in dumbass terms what do I buy and how much do I put in a gallon of water to feed my babies! (I'm growing in soul btw)

Sounds like you have a lot of questions. Why not go answer a few of the basics with the GROW faq and then come back here and follow up with more ???s

When you walk in a hydroshop the first time it's a little overwhelming but think of it as a grocery store or clothing store. You walk in and see 1000 t shirts or nute bottles but they are basically all the same they cover your body and slide over your head they just come with different labels.
So let's get ready for your first day of school lol.
You need a base nute line that's it. Everything else is considered an additive.
Let's focus on a basic schedule as far as additives go.
Pick a base nutrient. You will always use this I like a nice two part.(also the bottle will be labeled as a base) if your still confused just ask the employee.
For veg a root stimulator is a good idea so pick up one of those. Every company makes one or two try and not get caught up to much on labels and stuff.
So now we are feeding our veging plants a base and root booster. Sweet that will get you through veg and the first week of or so of flower (12/12 light cycle).
Well in flower we will start to see little white hairs and a bud starting to form for this we will use our last product a bloom booster.
Again every company makes these. Use your base and bloom booster till the last 10-14 days and you will then. Flush your plants with nothing but water till you harvest them.

I recommend looking into Mills nutrients if they are in your area. They only offer a base 2part formula (FYI you need both) and then a root booster, then two bloom boosters. One for the first half of bloom one for the last half of bloom that's it.

Also every company will have a feed schedule; and the amount needed per gal/l will be listed on the back of the bottle. It will tell you when to use it and how much.

Fox Farms has a feeding chart. General Hydro has feeding charts

Advanced Nutrients, Canna, House and Garden, etc all have feeding charts on their websites. google is a beautiful thing. All the information you need is out there

read the FAQ and then start reading people grow diaries, my friend. The information within is priceless.

Never go by the feeding chart, buy a ph pen and a tds meter. Get a cough syrup measuring cup to measure your nutes and go very light to start and dont fertilize seedlings.

Wow this helped so much thank you man, so the whole pnk thing doesn't matter so much as getting a base a root stimulator then a bloom booster?

You'd think a staff member would be more polite and helpful.

Seamaiden is not wrong though.

Let's back up a step.

You want to grow cannabis plants. That is awesome. You've come to the right place to learn. Whether it's here or any other cannabis growing forum, there's people willing to help.

Your previous knowledge about plants probably comes from general every day knowledge that people have on plants. You stick it in the ground and it will grow. And you know what? That's right. You plant a seed and it will grow.

The thing is, it may not grow that big. And that's what we want. We want a big plant that gives us big flowers. And that's where fertilizer comes into play. We use fertilizer to aid the growth of the plant. There are 13 elements that are considered plant nutrients. Nitrogen(N), Phosphorus (P), and Potassium (K) are arguably the most important. You're Base Nutrient as mentioned above will contain all of these 13 plant nutrients. And you would be just fine using it for the entire growth cycle.

Basically, plants like more Nitrogen during vegetative growth (usually the first 4-8 weeks of growth) and more Phosphorus and Potassium during flowering or blooming stages (final 8-10 weeks of growth). You hear about using things like Bloom Boosters(fertilizers with lots of P and K) during the later stages of growth because the plants like that. They don't NEED these, but the fertilizers aren't that expensive compared to the extra yield you get by using it.

So, just follow the directions on the bottle and you should be okay. If you go to the website for whomever's fertilizer you bought, they will probably have extra information in regards to feeding schedules.

I RESEARCHED for 6 months before I started growing. I grew for 4 or 5 months before I joined this forum. If you don't do your own knowledge searching and reading on the all powerful search engines and try to figure it out for yourself, I don't think you will find much help from anyone, anywhere. There is a site I got most of my basic knowledge from, I'd be happy to give you in a pm. Just don't like advertising out in the open for things that don't pay me back lol. Little scoffs like your quote here are kinda shitty, ESPECIALLY directed at @Seamaiden. She knows enough to talk you into a coma, so if you a really simple minded then anything she would tell you would spin your head. Keep those thoughts to yourself, as the community hates trolls, assholes, and shitty people in general, and I believe some people have been banned for less. Just be nice and be careful!

you'd think someone who wants to learn to grow would do some research and read how other people are doing it instead of blindly jumping in and asking questions where the answers are readily available and at your finger tips. show some initiative and some motivation Soldier.

exactly! Seamaiden is an awesome person. We will rally around her. Be respectful of people who actually know what they are doing. you could try reading some journals by some of the older heads that are here. That would give you a clue.

General hydroponics gro, micro, and bloom
Get a cough syrup measuring cup with 5, 7.5, 10, and 15 ml lines, one with just the 5 ml line will work, thats a teaspoon.
Measure 5ml micro and 5ml gro per gallon to start when you start feeding them(about 3 weeks after sprouting if growing in dirt)
See how they like it and gradually up the dosage as they get bigger
I never add more than 7.5ml each of micro and gro

When you start to flower do the same with micro and bloom, I have good results with this method. Ive followed feeding schedules recommended by manufacturers and burned my plants. If you add all the things fox farm tells you to add to a gallon of water your ppm would be 1500 or more.

You would, would you? It's too bad you thought that wasn't polite. Helpful? I am very helpful. What I will not do, however, is spoonfeed someone information that's been hard-won/hard-earned. Which is what you're asking us to do. Go read, the information is here, you just have to go read it.
