Hiya folks , Hears the problem, Usually I grow in hydro but I'm attempting a soil grow and I'm running into problems here are the details.
4 seeds from greenhouse persian pie
Biobizz light mix
2 weeks old currently using biobizz fish mix and grow
720w led currently running at 400w distance from plant is fine
Temps 24 -26.5c
Humidity 50-65 usually closer to 65 running a humidifier
24 hr light 5in out take 4in intake 3 fans inside tent to prevent heatspots ,tent size 1x1x2 vents open environment seems good feeding according to biobizz feed chart no sign of note burn so far . Problem is the plants look like there struggling the yet 2ltr when they need it , oh also they are in 16ltr fabric pots

They look over-watered to me, based on the leaf texture, and pronounced venules. "Over-watered" is watering too frequently, as opposed to watering too much volume. With an amended peat substrate like Light Mix, I water slowly to runoff, only when the pots are very light. The correct frequency is driven by the water retention characteristics of the media, and the relationship of plant size to pot size. With plants that small in pots that big, the right watering frequency (my way, at least) could be two weeks or more. That's just what works for me. Your mileage may vary.

Those are young plants and over watering could be part of it but I suspect that 720watt light running at 400 use the photone app to get the par in a range for the age/size of the plants. I do hit my young plants with more than 450ppfd at this stage more like 350 and let them grow into 450ppfd range. Once i get to the 5th node I am hitting them with some 500 to 600. In flower 1100 at the highest points. But this works for me

Other meaning of over watered ..
The water around the roots is stagnet,,,, it lacks oxygen..
if this statement is not true then how is this possible.
Your grow medium doesn't have enough drainage or enough drainage for the amount of water your giving the plant.
The roots got no oxygen .

The light is a good distance away , I use the same lights with my hydro grows without any issue , I will hold out on the watering for a good few days see if that makes a difference but the pots are light when they do get watered ,as I said I usually do hydro but wanted to try full organic , I've not done soil in years

It's not about the distance it's about the amount of photons. Measure it and just give yourself some idea of where the plants are at. Some cultivars don't like a lot of light early on. But water and light go hand in hand.

Light, water, and nutes are a balance. A soil grow will probably not be able to handle as much light at the same growth phase as an otherwise identical hydro grow, simply because nutes (and probably air) are not as readily available, and because hydro is more steady-state, while a soil grow is a roller-coaster for moisture content and nutrient concentration.

yep your not watering correctly,.. firstly your watering too much too quickly and it’s taking the path of least resistance and runs out,.
a 16 litre bag should easily take 3000ml without any run off if watered correctly,.
and when you think it’s dry it’s not, it show in your plant,..

I’m with everyone else on the watering,, my only suggestion is to give your plants some dark. They need to rest just like you and I. I’d turn my lights to 20 on 4 off and possible dial them back a little more while your plant is recovering.

If your soil has dried out properly, it should take 1.25 to 1.5 GALLONS of water to get your runoff. Let your grow bags get as light as a loaf of bread before watering.

This. raise/turn down light

You say it's the same distance and power you use for hydro, but soil isn't hydro.

In the photos it looks like you just watering around the plant, as Nick said you've got to slowly wet the entire medium

Update as promised . It was the watering that was my problem . The 16ltr pots just held 2 much moisture, I got my self a moisture meter and got everything sorted out and these are the girls now. Definitely going back to hydro after this run its just what in used to . The girls are healthy under a 720w led with boost on . Eating up 900ppm there drinking 3ltrs a day week 4 flower using biobizz grow, flower ,topmax ,and also bigbud humidity around 58-65 temps 25-28c I am running the food abit on the hot side but they seem to b fine ,strain persian pie , Thanks for the comments and the help . It's been 10 yrs since I done a soil grow

July 5th your plants were about 5 inches tall. And these giants were "week 4 flower"? I'm asking because I'm about 38 days into my veg cycle and thinking of flipping to flower very soon. Just wondering when you did these beauties?

When i started growing in DWC, i noticed during a power outtage, that blowing through the air stone with your mouth for like just 10-20 secs, will buy you like 12 hrs before plants begin to droop.

In loo of that, it doesnt make sense to me how its so easy to overwater in soil, even if you saturate your input water with O2 before using, overwatering is soil is still easy to do. But them's the rules, and that's how it is.

I can say I have used air stones in a 5gallon fabric pot on a ac infinity self-watering bases with soil. That will be my winter setup again. Talk about set it and forget to water but this or a autopot with soil is on the hydro level IMHO.
