Good afternoon all.

First time grow here. Not 100% but seemed to be going well until I spotted these new growths. We are almost on week 4 with a Zambeza green monster auto feminised.

Can anyone help with these pictures please? Thank you.

Thanks for your help. Absolutely gutted. I thought feminised seeds took away most of that risk. I do have a northern lights in there too but have growth/leaf problems with her. All my hopes were on the green monster. Start again...

That sucks Carlos. I would think the seed was mixed up/switched at some point from the bank but I know nothing about autos. That plant looked male to me with no signs of being a female.
I have had problems in the past with Zambian Copper with herms but they all showed flower first.

def not pure female. i would recommend staying away from autos in future. fems are risky enough. plus with ruderalis in the cross everytime with autos, you never get the full expression of the other parent.

Thanks for the advice. I chose autos as it was my first grow and I was eager to get going so the quicker times and simplicity of the autos appealed. I have some Barneys seeds which I bought as well, female non auto but I am worried about these turning hermie/ male as well now. Going to have a look online for some more seeds now. I did remove all the balls from the plant last night with the intention on seeing how it goes over the next week ago. I'm going to remove him later though I think. It has a really strong pungent smell, does it have any use do you know? Thanks again :)

I chose autos for the short grow time and simplicity. Going to have a look for new seeds. Any suggestions for a good fool proof first grow? Thanks :)

skunks are very easy. also very easy to manipulate. cheese #1 (althought probly not actual cheese #1) from most any breeder is cake. im sure there are fem offerings. and very stable typically. try and stay away from higher end strains like og, chem/diesel, girl scout cookies, unfortunately not the best strains for beginner grows, and can be very demanding.

bubba kush is another easier one. typically wont hermie. hazeman has several strains with a real bubba kush cut, one is molikai kush, another fugu kush, both pretty easy.

green crack is another skunk that is usually easy. big bud or critical is easy skunk and yields well.

and one breeder i know is pretty good with maintaining a good selection of stable genetics is mandala. not your typical stuff, but very stable usually.

if you want to go high end, go gage green first.

i would personally not pop any barneys gear. ever. just me though.

You can pick um off being careful not to bust them open so pollen doesn't get to the buds. Maybe pointless if you have to many plants though. I've done it and it reduces seeds you might get....

shot glass of water and wet your finger tips every time, it works. but plant wont ever yield like a pure genetic, once its started making male stamen youve lost time

out of curiosity where did you order them from? Half my genetics are Barneys from Herbies. :-)

which? and when?

i have ran herbs freebie fem cheese #1, some freebie big bud fems from herb, some really old big bud regs i was gifted, ive also ran connoisseur genetics regs and fems, all from herbs. sinmint cookies fems. a lot of herbs seeds i cant remember.

also had about 50 diesel#1 S1s gifted to me, a male chem bx, several cuts I wont mention, a gage green cut I made a strain out of, dozens of bagseeds from over a decade of collecting (all herms lol).

ive never run barneys, just witnessed the ugly firsthand. I think I saw some 8 ball that finished without issue, but the smoke was nothing like what i expected. and why did i expect anything..... just my exp with him and low end breeders. only thing I shoulda gotten was the grinspoon, which was a jewel I think.

I've read about other members running LSD with good results. For me I'd rather work the best genetics I can find. No offense meant, I'm sure Barney's has something worth the show, I just don't want to bother. Got several high end cuts and higher end offerings from friends and better breeders, and outside of the dr grinspoon, I see nothing real in Barney's line up. Just my op.

Exotic genetics is my next breeders i'd like to try. I def agree with you that Barney's doesn't really get up in to the high end thc numbers.
