And yes, PH is critical in MG soils, youll kill your plants otherwise.

i have to ph my water, my container plants die if i dont lol. my well water comes out the RO at like 5.5, after mixing feed its like 4.5

Not everybody has the same water man, seriously, the majority of folks, have water treatment systems that thier water goes through, go to your local facility web page, they add the essential minerals already.
Now if your water is heavily smelling of something at the tap sure, check it. Otherwise, it’s a waste of money,
For soil growers.

PH'ing being important or not isnt a ys or no thing.

Its entirerely 100% bound to the context of the grow methods being used.

it may not be necessary how you grow, but for *most* growing methods indoors, its not just necessary, its critical. that makes it bad advice lol, yes. Especially if not clarifying grow methods being used first

thats a great example of bad advice lol

If you have garbage water, sure.

Also one of the reasons you don’t ever really see ph acidic or alkaline issues with new growers nowadays.
I have t aeen that in a hot minute.

hahahahahah.

half the growers on this site have acidity problems and ignore it lmao. Especially the newer growers running bottle feeds in unbuffered soils getting told not to PH their water.

Ive saved their grows in DM one after another since i got here.

9/10 synthetic bottle nutrients on the market reccomend using RO or ditilled water, and PH'ing after mixing because thats what you should do with unbuffered soils and soiless grows.

Putthataway, all of his plants had acidic swing problems his past grow and he seems to be in genuine denial about it lol. Literally every one of em

Just go through the grow journals you can find partially calcium and magnesium locked out plants in most grow journals here. literally over half of them lol.

we def gonna agree to disagree here. I have grown in just about every method you can grow cannabis in, indoors and out. In this contexct PH is quickly going to become important because of the soil he chose and the osmocote thats in it. Doesnt really matter how consistent input PH is when you have little beeds slowly leaching acidic as hell pure amonia nitrate into your soil every single watering while tree bark is breaking down right next to it. When plants enter full veg in this soil, you HAVE to begin a buffering up of your solution, as well as semi frequent flushes. You can treat it like any other soil eventually, but you cant to begin with

Im here because i have specific knowledge and experience directly relevant to the OP's specific contexts lol.

to the OP, if you are in MG soil, you have to keep track of your PH input and output, there is no way around having to do that while your plants are in this soil with osmocote on their roots. You WILL face issues otherwise in the very near future. The meters you posted are soil meters not solution meters. They work but will leave you with more guess work then solution meters will

If ever in a situation forcing you to use MG soil again, screen out the bark and twiggs, and pick out all the osmocote balls you can. Especially if planning on running unbuffered organic regiments.

This soil is well buffered. Just keep adding amendments, microbial tea etc. as directed! Also some water. Dry-back between every watering. Just completed a grow in this stuff. No more than 2L of run- off during whole cycle. No signs of deficiencies of any kind.

The soil is buffered to a point my friend. If you use the whole nute range then p/h is usually about 5.8 - 6.2. So no real ne d to ph. Try mixing canna terra at correct EC with no other products and see what happens. With A ph of about 4 your shoots will be yellow and skinny. Bud formation is a joke. Skimpy shoots skimpy buds at best. Don’t go handing over definitive info. If you don’t know the guys regime. He asked for help

i cna take a clone and feed it nutrient solutions from my water un PH'd and you can watch it die within 3-4 feedings if you want. all the calcium and magnesium will lock out after the first watering, itll be all scarred up by the second feeding, and itll die after the 3rd lol

The only way it matters is if you have a ton of salt in your water, which I do, but that's really it
