It’s been a hot, sunny summer here in Northern CA. My mix of ladies have loved the weather.
But, I have a possible harvest timing problem.
Today is Sept. 9. I am traveling to WNY on the 18th, returning Oct 1.
I am growing Banana OG, Cali Haze and a hybrid from seeds last year (its called Redding Rainbow)
The Banana OG is getting close to ready IMHO as is the Redding Rainbow.

Here are some photos of them:

Banana OG

Redding Rainbow:

They both look close. I have looked at both under 10X - tri are somewhat cloudy - no ambers I can see.

I fear that if I wait until October 1 - the both will be “overripe”.
I could harvest in the next day or two - then hope they dry by the 18th - I would trim and but in jars to cure.
Or, just let em ride until October 1.

Any advice/comments?

TIA

Pretty early! You could take half and let half Ride! I probably have to drive up to Northern roots and get some big bamboo this week! Good luck with it! mine have just started to flower! And some haven’t! When in doubt, I always wait! Don’t cotton too early chop!

Me too! I’ve never harvested anything in September unless it was sick and dying! But to each their own!

You won't be able to get them dry enough by the 18th without destroying your quality. If you jar them too wet and leave for 2 weeks without burping them you will have moldy bud when you return.

Let them continue to grow and harvest October 1. Your plants do seem on track for that date anyways.

its early. whats the weather and humidity look like? i just lost half my crop to an early chop from bud rot. hoping to salvage whats left. unfortunately for me my girls won't reach full floral maturity. but like yours they were fat and crystal coated. close enough. someone suggested taking some and leaving the rest. i dunno. if your not worried about mold an bud rot, risk one plant. id havest at least one now to ensure i had one plant. i know its early. if you wait a few weeks a lot can happen. one rainy night. one humid day. one of my plants was fine, and in 24 hours about a quarter of it got bud rot. i mean we go through it with fine tooth comb. part a me says take some man...

I’m in Northern CA - been in the 90’s-low 100 and very low humidity the last few months. It actually rained yesterday for the first time in months - a cold front - going to be a cool 79F today. Back to the 90’s by tomorrow with 0 rain and low humidity for the next few weeks.

Perfect! how about some pictures of the entire plant? If you have a mind too. This area is perfect for flower!

Look good! Time to think about supporting them! They may have farther to go than you think!
