Hello everyone, I have 2 seedlings that sprouted 10 days ago.
Growing under a HLG 320 led with the intensity at about 50%.
They’re in FF 70/30 coco with a touch of EWC and smaller touch of insect frass…..with some Great White sprinkled on the tap root.
As u can see from the pics, one looks fine and the other is a bit droopy with her first set of leaves all twisted. The new growth doesn’t look to be twisting.
I started in clear solo cups sitting inside of red ones so I could see the root development.
The healthier of the 2 looks to have a stronger root system, although the droopy one’s roots are reaching out to the sides of the cup.
My temps are 77-79F with a RH of 60-68%.
I’ve watered them with PH’d tap and they’ve both gotten the same treatment.
Could this just be a pheno issue and it could grow out of it?
I plan on transplanting to 1 gal pots this weekend. I amend the coco with mostly dry organics.
By the way they are photoperiod and the strain is Diesel (femanized).
I do have two fans running and I was thinking that maybe the breeze is causing it.
What does everyone think ??

Both plants look fine. Don't waste another brain cell worrying about this. The "droopy" one will grow out of it.

They don’t look bad at all really. How often are you watering?
Well at first I just made sure the mix was good and moist before dropping in the germinated seed. Then every other day I would give a little water around the outside edge of the cup….then just a few days ago I spotted the roots really taking off so I waited until they were pretty dry and gave a good drink that got the outer 2/3rds really good……and that was 2 days ago and they’re still moist. Will likely water again tomorrow and transplant a day or two after.

Okay, they look fine. I’m sure the one will grow out of it. Dont water to often and make sure you they get a good wet/dry cycle

Could be pheno diff, could grow out of it, may not be anything at all. So long as they're look relatively healthy like this I wouldn't recommend messing with anything yet. Without knowing your nute schedule, if you're concerned at this stage you could add in a little kelp in some form (with a little fulvic acid if you have it).

Otherwise let them go and show you what's going on in another week or two.
