I’m growing auto’s in Fox Farm soil. Using VIVOSUN grow tent system. Currently entering forth week of grow and couple plants not looking so hot. Thought maybe overwatering but have been watering only maybe twice a week. Any tips? Should I start nutrients?

Look,,, I don't want to be that guy. But there done. Nothing there to work with. If they are all auto's you will be lucky if you get a joint or two off them. Auto's give you no time to fix anything. Once the seed pops the clock is running. And as soon as something goes wrong it will become a compounding issue/issues. If you over watered that took them out. They look hungry but you feed and get them going they will flower and maybe produce a cotton ball bud. This is a auto grow at 3 weeks old and the left two smaller plants got culled not long after the pic was taken. Learn and pop more seeds.

I appreciate the feedback. I figured they were pretty much cooked as I compared to other growers at this stage. Not exactly sure what I did wrong but I have more seeds so will try again. Thank you for feedback.

I tell new growers to start with moist soil in there pots and for the first two weeks only water seedlings with 1 oz. of water. Keep them warm and humidity high and if need be make domes out of water bottles. Good Luck!

Thank you for advice. I’m going to start over since I have extra seeds. The humidity level is a small issue although I did put a second humidifier in tent since temps in my area outside are very cold this time of year.

They are not done you need to water them everyday when they're that small just wet an inch away from them they will catch up as they get bigger soak more of the dirt as the root ball develops

If they were photos you would a chance to correct things. Autos don’t give you a chance to do anything. Something goes wrong and you’re cooked.

Definitely not, id just cut here and start over to be honest. Im pretty new too, but if my plant doesnt sprout happy and green then im not gonna run that plant. Might feel mean or wasteful to kill it so early, but youre gonna waste more supplies trying to keep a tortured plant alive :(

Start up a grow journal on here when you start your next grow! Tell everyone everything youre doing from the beginning and people on this site will be able to help guide you along, maybe catching things you might not see yet so you can fix it early

Best of luck dude!

Appreciate that and advice to journal on here.

Thank you !

that happened to me more than once. my mistake was over watering and cool soil temps, as soon as i put a heater in there and stopped watering every 10 minutes, everything took off , even seeds i had discarded.... i like to mist spray with diluted root juice in the first week or two and keep under a dome

Now that you say that I really do think my temp was dropping at night too much. I’m in northeast and it’s cold this time of year. Even though tent is inside I have vented outside.

took me ages to work out because my tent temp was 24-25 celcius but the soil temp was under 19 dropping down to 15 ish at night , then i was cooling it further with a watering i suppose, i got a cheap aquarium thermometer and shoved it in the soil. ALSO i was using lemon juice to ph my water down which kills all the benificial microbes in the soil around the roots, i couldn't work out why my root balls were tiny compared to the pot .
i start my seedlings in orchid pots its perfect for them because they dry out quick, drain quick and i like to see how the root are developing

this was one of my first attempts , when i look back now i was giving it a ridiculous amount of water which was just collecting in the bottom of that plastic pot, and rotting

As much as I like @carlosescobar idea of using orchid pots, I prefer using the sleeved solo method for checking root development. Roots don't like light. Growing them in the orchid pots will expose the roots to light.

The sleeved solo method, for those that don't know, is to plant your seed/cutting in a clear solo cup and use a colored solo as a sleeve to shield the roots from light. Whenever I want to see how my root development is going I just slip the clear solo out of the colored one and I have a full view of the root system without affecting the roots light sensitivity.

I agree with @Blastfact. Your autos are done. Give them their last rites and toss 'em!

Before you make another attempt, I would caution you to not use autos as a newb and start with either regular or feminized photoperiod seeds. As has been mentioned, auto seeds are genetically modified to follow a time schedule rather than light duration so if you screw up, your time and energy have been wasted. I believe auto seeds are best left to more experienced growers that can identify and treat issues that may crop up and address them quickly before they get out of hand.
Photoperiod seeds allow you to grow them as large or small as you want and you get to decide when they flower. This allows newbs to make mistakes and learn to identify and fix those issues. Regular photoperiod seeds will make you have to cull male and female plants so you may or may not get the amount of female plants you want hence why many reg seed growers plant lots of seeds and cull accordingly. Feminized seeds will guarantee, for the most part, that you will have as many females as seeds you planted.

If you want to try again with your auto seeds consider growing them near a sunny window. I've been mentoring another newb on another site and he got brave enough to plant an auto seed he had in a 3 gal pot and just placed it next to a window that gets a lot of sun. All he did was water until he started seeing preflower pistils then he started feeding it a nute recipe I setup for him. He was trying to use Alaska Morbloom and Fish nutes that he bought at his local hardware store. I worked out a mix with the two and he's been very successful with his auto grows. I liken it to a greenhouse grow since, indoors, the temp and humidity were good enough for the plant to respond well and the sun coming through the windows provided the light energy.

Whatever you do, Good Luck!

Hopefully I can explain this if I make ten clones off one plant and give the clones to ten different people across the country each one of those people will get different flowering times and you can let a plant flower longer to get a more of the couchlock effect they can catch up I live in Colorado I often let my plants go longer so they'll freeze and turn purple the worst thing you can do is freak out if your worried start a couple more but give the others a chance
