I will post some pics when I get the chance. I'm sure everyone here has seen 2 week old plants, but i'll do it anyway ;)
Cheers guys, happy growing

Ok, I have 2 strains going at the moment, G-13 and LSD all femenized seeds, 3 of each in a 5 x 5 tent custom rigged to fit my attic room.
2 of each seed went in water 2 weeks ago yesterday (the 4 plants at the back. The one far left was damaged with a rookie transplant error and may get discarded). Another of each was put in water 5 days later and are still in solo cups. The other plants are vegetables to keep my wife happy, will get put outside soon.
Light is tri phosphor fluoro at the moment. Also have the mars II 900 for later (was my first purchase, not sure I'm excited with what I have read since. May change or at least supplement, haven't decided yet).
Plants are currently in 1 gallon pots, have 8 gallon pots fully irrigated to reservoir just waiting for they grow up a little.
There's a few things on the list still to purchase, need a filter pretty soon. They already have more odour than I expected. Maybe another fan for more air circulation and stuff like that

Cheers man. Reading a lot of different things on feeding times ranging from twice a week up to four times a day. Not sure where to go with it at the moment. I'm thinking i'll start with daily and see how it goes
every watering feed them nutes. The coco doesn't hold much for long. Dries quick also if used properly. Just keep readin bud e

So, I'm another week down the track and they have grown a fair bit, but I've run into my first issues already. Leaves are yellowing between the veins and I'm not sure what the cause is. I've read through everything I can think of to search on the site, but without knowing the cause it's hard to know what to search for.
What I've put it down to is over watering. Initially I was watering/feeding every other day, but after reading how often people feed in coco I started feeding every day. Once the leaves started yellowing, I figured it must have been too much nutes. The symptoms did look a little like some deficiency's but since i had some younger seedlings showing the same signs that probably didn't even need nutes at all yet i figured the feed was too hot for them.
So I flushed everything with ph adjusted water. Not sure this helped if they were already suffering from over watering. Anyway, that was a couple of days ago and they seem to be drying out now and looking happier. The yellowing hasn't improved at all but at least I don't think it has gotten much worse in the last couple of days.

Can you post your nutrients and how much you use?

I am using an A + B complete nutrient brand that you don't have in the States. The guy at the store recommended it when I bought the coco. It has a npk listed as 22.6 - 6.1 - 29.5

Recommended dosage was
50ml per 10 litres
or
12ml per 10 litres for seedlings

I was using about 17ml per 10 litres

How old is a seedling when it's no longer a seedling? These plants are over 3 weeks from seed, when are they officially a plant in veg?

My first thought was how could a plant that young possibly need that much Potassium? Looking at the charts on the site, excess Potassium affects Nitrogen, Calcium and Magnesium, which could account for the yellowing.
But then I just figured I was overthinking it and just made the typical rookie error of something simple like too much water.
Anyway I've started watering/feeding less often and I've switched up nutes today and started them on a root supplement and some cal-mag. Hopefully they cheer up in the next few days

Try watering once a day with a lower dose, say half dose. You really need an EC meter to keep things consistent. The trick with coco is small, regular feeds, just like any other hydroponic system. Treat it like soil with all the dry cycle crap, you're gonna get soil results. And tons of issues popping up from nowhere. Never let your coco dry, ever.

So I'm talking gallons while you talk litres....Let's figure this out. Two bottles line of nutrients? You also have some calmag? What size container do use to mix up your nutrient and water? Any piepettes? Over and out

Ok, I'll try and translate. Yes two bottle line of nutrients, the label pic above is the same on both bottles.
I have some cal-mag now, but hadn't used any at all until the most recent feeding yesterday.
I mix the feed in a 1 gallon (4 litre) container and I use syringes to measure.

So according to the directions recommendations are
0.64 fl oz per gallon or
0.16 fl oz per gallon for seedlings

and I was feeding at around 0.20 fl oz per gallon
Does that make sense now, cos it all sounds strange to me ;)
Thanks for your time, really appreciate it .

Anyway, I have changed a few things since then and things are looking up. I'm just using the root supplement (to help if it was over watering) and a small dose of Cal-mag (to help possibly bring some color back).
Also I was using fluoro's on 24/7 and using LED to regulate the temperature overnight (approx 3 ft above plants). Now I have switched to just fluoro 18/6.

New growth is looking good and plants have their aroma back. I noticed as the leaves yellowed, they lost their smell almost completely. The new growth has that funky smell back and better texture and color. I'm optimistic at the moment, but can see it's going to be a tough few months. Enjoying the experience and learning more for next time ;)

can't edit that post for some reason, but I've just noticed the fluoro times are a little confusing. Initially had fluoros on 24/7 as in always on, around the clock. Then changed to 18 on 6 off

Dry cycle?

Dry cycle?

As in when you're growing in soil instead of coco, you water and then wait until the soil has dried on the top couple inches or whatever.

You don't do this in coco. The medium must be kept moist at all times. Which shouldn't be a problem, as it's coco and eventually you'll be watering/feeding every day, right?

Yo, @badseed your right on track with the changes. 6 plants? If you use a 5 gallon bucket to mix up your nutes/water it's 100 percent easier. It sounds like you have to mix multiple 1 gallon containers to water..... Too much work my friend. A 2 part nutrient may be missing something. Those little added extra nutes will get your plant to it's full potential. Your Coco has nothing in it, feed every time. Keep it updating here, more pics please...
