So some friends and i have been debating the need for a public access to high quality CO2 extraction processing. Now one hand feels that there is not a need with the high quality BHO on the Michigan market. Truelabs and i think couple of the edible companies have small CO2 rigs for their needs. But i'm not aware of anyone who offers currently processing as a service. Now the other hand says that for a flat rate we can process what ever material provided for you and you keep the entirety of the product. That said there could be no guarantee of the output % due to quality of the run material, trim would be less than nug runs that's just from personal experience in the BHO game. I'm not sure how we would market it yet but the idea keeps coming up at every circle. the file has Eden labs crap machine average #'s for their machines but is not that far off from personal experience. That said i've never had one of these fancy $$$ Super criticals to work with.

Jeez Louize, CO2 extraction is such a tired canard, incomplete extractions yield incomplete medicine. and co2 is just as dangerous as butane if you're not a villager with a pitchfork...

I would be ALL OVER THIS if the laws would get changed to allow the Hash,Oils,BHO ect in Michigan...:)

But you are taking a Huge Fucking risk, the Pigs will do anything they can right now in Michigan to prosecute BHO cases, and the Judges will block MMJ Defenses...

@logic you can take this thread down lack of interest has reinforced my position with my partners.

Sorry BM , no disrespect but I wouldn't feel safe until the laws change. A small batch is a waste of time when I can have 3#+ of trim. So transporting is another issue.

You may have better luck polling your local grower/dispensaries s as opposed to a national forum.
This is a michigan thread on an international forum, but thank you for the input.

man tough group in here, anyway I am new and wanted to comment on rascali's comment about CO2 and being as dangerous as butane. Are you being serious or did I miss some sarcasm because I am new. Have you ever done both? I have done both extensively and don't know how you could be serious.

apologies it isn't my intent to stir up trouble i am just curious.

I don't think it matters in either situation. If either is done properly both are just as safe to use from a health standpoint but as far as operating extraction equipment butane is way more dangerous if not for only 1 reason alone and that is Butane is extremely flammable and CO2 isn't at all.

Both are under pressure but you knock the top off a 50lb CO2 cylinder and you just have to deal with a BOOMless missle but have a Butane misshap and some moron blows up his house or garage and kills himself and anyone else with him.

Hello,
I'm new to this but am looking for a close loop co2 system I'm in cali

The apex super-critical extraction systems starting @ 37,000.00 for the nice base unit
will be out of most small guys pricing to even think about, so a business plan with this concept is not a bad Idea
I do agree IMHO its the safer way to process product to oil.
This is going take time to see that Big picture as the industry grows and the statewide acceptance increase so will this wonderful type of thinking ...
There is much to learn and so much potential for growth. glad to see the thread step out side the box.

they have one bench top model for 35k. Was looking for someone who maybe upgrading and looking to let their smaller unit go

Also, as a retired executive Chef i have to say loudly and clearly,....you cannot ever use Butane extracted Oils for any food stuffs,.......any, percentage of a percentage point that fails to be removed from the product is TOXIC and thus so is your final food stuff.

No poison in, no poison out,......pretty simple really! the ease of incorporating Co2 oil into salves, sauces, juices and to ultimately "smoke" it seem to me to make that the strategy of choice. Why would you ever want your extraction to have limitations on the ways in which you ( or anyone after you) could safely use it?

the APEX machines are fantastic,...i've seen demos onsite at APEX. True push button extraction methodology. If you think the extractor is cool check out the machine that does a "dip into source" breakdown of what is in it,...with % of weight to finished product ( covers THC, CBD, Mold, and anything else contained in it) even prints you a sticker with the info on it for labeling your finished product, we tested it on a DIXIE Elixer and it even showed us the BRIX level of the soda.
anyone got either one they want to rent by the hour,....you be sure to call!

Also , i think its going to be really hard to find a "used" one,.....they have a buy back program when you upgrade to the next size so your initial investment is just that,....an investment in APEX equipment not the purchase of a piece of equipment your just stuck with when it stops meeting your needs, I DO NOT WORK FOR THESE PEOPLE, NOR DO I SHILL FOR ANY MAN EVER! They just happen to have a fantastic machine and sales program, thats why i mentioned it.

UCMETOO is correct. Apeks offer a buyback program on their equipment both towards the upgrade of a NEW system in which they credit you a % of your original purchase dependent upon condition.

If you really want to experiment with CO2 extraction without selling the farm, take a look at www.criticalco2ltd.com. I am affiliated but I have to put this info here to keep everyone aware. Sorry if I offend anyone with this blatantly commercial post.
