Probably 1 malawi in its own tent and 5 of the others in the other tent.I've got to figure out how to plant this. I can legally only grow 6 plants in each flower tent.
No tracking on the other order yet.
I can run less than 6, but not 2 of each. Gonna have to choose what's first and if its compatible with anything else.

Excellent! I knew I wasn't the only one working on this! I currently have three thcv Victory seeds and 10 Jack the Ripper's on the way as well as 10 Durban Poison seeds from the real landrace team. I'm just a blue collar worker though trying to help my wife's epilepsy and won't be able to afford testing on every plant but hopefully with the community's help I can produce something great!I'm starting this discussion to help further mine and others knowledge of THCV rich cannabis strains.
I know that sativa landrace strains especially those that were native to Hawaii were THCV rich. There's a new one called thc victory, but what are some lesser known high THCV strains?
Durban poison, jack the ripper are a few but I want some seeds to acquire for breeding of my own high THCV strains.
Let the discussion begin.

I saw the price of those THC Victory seeds, 50 euro per seed...i think i will pass...Yeow! Dude. You jump in with both feet. Excellent yourself. I'm sure we'll all be interested in the outcome of a Victory grow. Are the JtR seeds from the Subcool line, or elsewhere?

Maybe you can plant 4 -6 and clone them early and toss the big ones. Might have to do it a couple times before they get old enough to bud.Wait, are you saying 1 plant in a 4x8? And train the crap out of it to take the vertical growth and make it horizontal?
I'd really like to run multiple of each type just to improve chances of getting that outlier chemotype.
https://www.tltseeds.com/durban-poison-highland/ This is where I ordered mine, the website says out of stock but after emailing them I got a 10 pack. They said it was donated by a private collector.I want some durban, who sells the best version?

That was supposedly from a Syrian landrace, 7% THCV, took two years to find a high THCV phenotype.
Friendly reminder that these are unworked landrace strains, three of which include CBD-dominant phenotypes. I'm sure the Malawi is potent, but with this low of a plant count you may have to plant them for a long time to find a pheno with detectable THC, let alone THCV.
I would keep the spectrum leaning blue until the stretch is done (or you are well into flower) and you should be fine.I'll be honest - I have never done this type of grow before so I am trying hard to get it right in my mind. It's still unclear to me. Everything I have done to this point started with seeds, most of them feminized, and then clones off the plants that came out of those seeds. I have never gone back to the source like this and have never done breeding. I have a lot to learn here so any assistance is appreciated.
Malawi is a big plant. I have an 8' tent. The HID tent gives me a total of about 5' clear to grow in starting at the top of the pot. The LED tent I can add about 6 or 8 inches to that height. Still nowhere near what this plant wants, so I'm assuming I am going to bend them way over to make it work.
Some of these are going to be boys. They need to get culled. But they could also be the high THCV outlier too, and the pollen could be valuable. I have no idea how to save pollen or where I would do that. They would need to be grown out beyond where I would normally cull to sexual maturity. I don't want that happening in my lab.
Help me get my head around this...
Something looks amiss in that report.
How is the THCV decarbed (not THCVa) and THC and CBD are not? Based on my understanding of test procedures and mass spec, you either decarb the sample or you don't. You don't run one test decarbed to get the THCV value and another to get THCa and CBDa.
My bullshit detector is slightly dinging in the back of my brain.
Thats why i wrote supposedly...Something looks amiss in that report.

Im trying to grow a 15 foot tall colombian in a 6 foot closet. Plants are a month old grown 12-12 and show no sign of sex yet. My plan is establish clones and throw the mothers away. Then clone the clone and again throw the big ones away. Rinse and repeat until I have mature flower 3' tall or less. I have plenty of meds to hold me over in case of failure, so its all just for fun.I'll be honest - I have never done this type of grow before so I am trying hard to get it right in my mind.
