So just curious. I bought an hlg150 qb Not sure the exact specs as it’s on right now. Plan on using it in a closet and have three plants that were severely hurt and they are living but more of an experiment lol. What’s with the dimming switch and why. I want to veg six plants in a closet under it for a semi perpetual grow. The plants will eventually be moved to a grow box under 2. 315 lecs where I have plants now that are thriving. Just curious as to what’s with dimming the lights and why thanks
Happy growing

Not sure I get the question??

The dimmer dims the light?

Why dim? To make the lights not as bright?? A.K.A - dimmed.

Main benefit is for adjusting to grow cycle aka less light needed for seedlings or rooting clones.

My veg light can be dimmed but I prefer to just adjust the height. For some people though that isn't an option, so they dim.

Helps with heat too. I had temperature issues I was able to solve by rolling back the dimmer about 10%. I could then make up the difference in intensity by lowering the light a little closer to the canopy.

Increased flexibility is a good thing.
