Growing apple betty for the first time outdoors. Currently on day 9 of flowering. Vege was extremely slow, strain requires perlite heavy soil to maximize growth during vege. Canopy is currently 1m² and is sitting 800mm high. Consistent lst, super cropping, defoliation and tucking under the scrog net. Estimated yield around the 350g dry mark conservatively. Another couple weeks of early flower stretch to go yet.
Outdoors in far north new Zealand, raised garden bed with 300mm of organic living soil. Marigolds for pest management. Yates thrive seaweed and fish fertilizer tea every 4 days through veges and early flower. Will switch to a pk heavy nutrient starting day 18

What a treat seeing outdoor grows right now. I'm in Oregon full on winter very cold. Beautiful plant and your land is beautiful also. I planted many lavendar and herb plants around my garden area for pest control. Thanks for sharing your lovely grow.

Thank you! I haven't grown outdoors before but ive recently gone fully off grid and an indoor grow is just extra power drawn. I'd love any tips you may have.

Flowering day 23 update.

Apple Betty by herbies seeds.

Put a new greenhouse over her a couple days ago as we are now into autumn and weather patterns are all over the place. I've got an oscillating fan running in there 24/7 and moving the tops nicely. Shes officially starting to stack now and the aromas coming from her are fantastic! Gave her a haircut this morning to open up the canopy a bit more and allow better air exchange. Will start feeding bloom on day 25.

Have set up a fine mesh for over the door so I can keep it open but also slow down moths and green shield beetles (smelly buggers!)

Thank you! I'm thinking about building a room under the house, fully line it and insulate it then I can have a couple of indoor plants growing through autumn and winter periods. Im probably gonna go with the helios 520 and the cloud line t4.
