One of the most frustrating things that happens to me during a grow is to see those buds get so heavy they fall over towards the end of a grow. Bird netting, plant stakes and such are an option but for my style of growing neither has worked as well as I had hoped.

I did something similar back during the open air basement grows I did but I needed to somehow build a trelis from my GrowLab 120 without damaging the tent itself. Wood is cheap and simple to use so here is what I came up with. Magic number for this frame is 45 5/8" wide. Lets the frame sit neatly on the corner brackets of the tent. Spacing for the string is in a 3" grid.

These plants are at 10 days of flower and will stetch right up through the string for another foot or so.

Looks nice, I use something very much the same in my room.

Great skills JJ....any plans to scrog it, or just for support?

Looks nice and clean, Jadin. I need to do the same thing with my sog. Mostly for support and the training is a bonus.

For this grow the trelis is much like what easypleasie said, for support but training is a bonus. When the string is set early enough n stretch you can gently nudge a stem over as it grows to open up the canopy.

I did another trelis for a different plant under a 400. This plant grows well in veg but short dense style of plant in flower. I had worked it enough in veg so it has multiple stems but it still would not spread out. I ran this string about 3 or 4 inches below the top of the canopy, as I wove the string I would catch a stem and bend it over. Then spend some time adjusting stems here and there to get the canopy spread out. Not sure if this qualifies as a scrog or not 'cause I don't do much more training to the plant after this, from this point on the plants will go vertical up through the string.

who said weed kills brain cells... great job

Drugs do kill brain cells..

But only the weak ones, we don't need those pansey ass fuckers anyway!!

:help:

"Well you see, Norm, it's like this... A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo and when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Now, as we know, excessive drinking of alcohol kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. And that, Norm, is why you always feel smarter after a few beers."

Nice work... Weave them so they will fill the hole trellis you will get lots of side branching up to the light.. when u click hit them hit them with bush master they will just start stack-en it without stretching....
