Wanted to update any who have been following or just checking in and helping. I haven’t posted in a few weeks. The front and back left Ethos are on day 51 and the back right Night Owl is on day 46. I have been growing in 5 gallon fabric pots with coco perlite 70/30 with 25 percent worm casting. I mixed Gaia 444 and 284 in the medium before germ so it could slow release for 30 days. Germinated directly in the soil the old school way. I mainlined the big boy in the front, topped the back right and LST’d the back left on day 14. I then top amended on day 30 and they have been just watered in between with a ph of 6.5-6.8. I do see nute burn on the Night Owl in the back right but that’s my own fault for mis-measuring the dry amendments in day 30. It’s working itself out now and being remedied. I use hygrozyme in every watering and recharge every 10-15 days. I will top amended again on January 10th with 30/70. 30 percent 444 and 70 percent 284 to help with bloom. I am keeping my environment stable through the ac infinity smart setup, using an inline fan and humidifier to control VPD with the Pro 69 Controller. I had it at .6-.8 kPa in seedling, .9-1.1 kPa in veg and now it’s at 1.1-1.3 kPa until about another 2-3 weeks when I will up it to 1.2-1.5 kPa for fattening and resin and the late bloom.

Also, when do you think these will be done? I’m assuming mid to late February?

Just curious as to your opinion, tips, advice or compliments. I appreciate all the help and feedback I have received. Again, this is my first ever grow so go easy on me haha. I hope I’m on the right track haha

I posted pics and a video for ya guys

Happy Holidays Everyone!

Looks awesome mate👍

Very impressive for a first grow! Do you have someone who helped you figure all out or did you just reasearch all by yourself? Very rarely a newbie knows what VPD even means.
As for the time it should say it more or less in the bredeer's webpage. Its not always accurate but its a pretty good aproximation many times. Once there's barely any white pistil because they turned orange and all of them start curling in the bud its a good aproximation too if you dont know when to check trichomes.

I did a lot of research and based on graphs from different research. I had no one teach me and have used the internet as a resource. Instead of trying to dial it in perfectly I made happy ranges for myself. By using the humidifier for the rh and the inline for temp control I can keep it within those ranges I listed. Remarkably VOD has much higher RH than traditional grow methods. I stay around 66 percent most days and in early veg it was 77. It seemed much easier to grow this way than by trying the traditional route after a lot of research. Everyone said not to mainline autos either, it works great so I will be mainlining them from now on. I think mainlining/manifolding simply doesn’t work with crappy genetics. But Night Owl, Speed Run and Ethos are all great and can take it. But yeah, just hoping this looks appropriate for this stage. Still new so I don’t know what’s to happen next or what stage of flower I’m in or when it will start budding. I’m seeing calyx’s/bracts or whatever so I would assume soon. Watering has been weird. I only give them 8 cups every two days and they do fine

Idk, still learning

Very nice man! Yes they look perfectly fine, just a bit of nute burn like you said but nothing that is gonna affect the final product I believe. I burn a few tips sometimes finding the highest dosage they can eat, getting them yellow also happened to me but once you learn how to read them you will avoid that and its gonna be only a few tips which is totally fine.
Training autos is risky if you dont know what youre doing because many strains dont take it well so youre right about that too, the secret to training autos is knowing which strains from which bank can handle it.
I didnt check the breeder's page but yes I would say that by the end of february or early march, looks like theyre on their 3rd week of flower or so and most strains take 60-70 days from start of flower til the end of flower.

Yeah, I made sure to research my auto seed banks as well for good genetics. I wanted to build up a good stock before I go do photos. Wild thing is, these new genetic autos take quite long. These are looking to go past 100 days but I suppose that’s good for quantity.

Now I just need to learn how to set my tent automations to dry. My rh in my house is like 40 percent so I don’t need a dehumidifier so it shouldn’t be too difficult. Going to go with the 60/60 and hope for the best. Drying and curing is new to me as well. I will be trying to get more info on that. I got jars and grove bags to test which I like more.

And thanks, I’m glad they’re looking appropriate!

Question.. are these too close together? Should I spread the outside colas out some more? I’m afraid to because the stalks will more than likely snap but wanted to make sure this wasn’t too packed together.

Thanks!

Its fine! What I do when I have my grow packed:
1. Remove leaves totally or partially that are blocking the light to other top buds
2. If a bud touches another bud (I dont think it will be your case but could happen) then you have to separate them. I always wait until the buds are formed because most of the times they dont touch each other even if theyre that close.

I’ve done your very same grow several times and your watering is perfect. Growing organically with coco is a much maligned style….folks will chime in and give a dozen reasons why it’s not a good idea. I say the proof is in the pudding…..and your grow looks great. With this grow in particular, You’re def better off watering frequently and stopping before any runoff. Coco doesn’t work well drying out and neither does organics. I ran my inputs PH a bit lower 6.1-6.3, but it’ll obviously run fine at higher levels.
Good luck and regardless of breeder timelines, the plant will finish when it finishes. As long as it’s healthy let her go until then.

Yeah, I was a little worried about that too. Every Reddit post I look at about these strains seems to have them finishing around 70-80 days. I’m at day 60 already and seems like only week 2-3 of flower so I was worried. And yeah, I only water with half gallon and it seems to last a couple days still. I’m assuming once buds form they will drink quicker and more

Day 60 of flower or since they popped out? When they say they finish around 70-80 days many times theyre refeering to the flowering period only not counting veg unless it specifies its the time from seed to harvest.

It’s days 60 since they broke dirt. They are autoflowers and said harvest time 75-85 days from seed so that’s why I was curious as to why they are behind. I think most say they can go 100-110 days before they’re done but curious. They’re still stretching currently.

your gals look great you should be coasting to an excellent harvest. you should be proud
Thank you. This is all new to me and just want to make sure it goes well. They’re behind the normal time period but looking fine. These autos are some strange little plants.

Your biggest battle is organics in 5gal for autos. They are looking good but maybe a little behind. It takes a while for organic amendments to break down and become plant available so with this being the first grow in that soil and these being fast flowering, you may not be getting all the nutrients needed. Your next grow in that soil will be better. You also may wanna go up to 10gallon on your next run. It’s really difficult to get all the nutrients available in a smaller container in a shorter time frame. I’m excited to see how these turn out for sure, they do look healthy but the buds seem on the smaller side if these should be finished in 2-3 weeks. They look good if you have another 35-45 days. My understanding is with organics you want a minimum of 15Gallons, I had good luck in 10s so you should have no problem in a 10 but I wouldn’t go smaller on your next one.

You should be proud!
I really appreciate it. Was discouraged seeing others hit the top of the tent but then I assume those are photo, DWC or autopots. These are starting to hit the two foot mark now. I’m loving the process and already started a new one. But yeah, hopefully drying and curing go well too. Going to use VPD for that as well.
