Hey all, my plants are growing fast but not bushy. There is 4 in there, about 3 months old.
How can i stop the stretching and get some bushiness?
I'm not sure of the type. I'm concerned bringing the LED light close as there is a lot of heat coming from it. Thanks for any advice. I'm a newbie.

Thanks

No not in flower yet. By "top" do you mean just cut it off?

Drop that light to about 12 inches from the tops. Some white walls around it would help as well.

There shouldn't be any heat from the LEDs. They're stretching toward the light. Is that 120 w LED? If it's not hot to your hand the plants can handle it being a little closer.

if the sink in that room has been your spot for 3 months im going to assume your plant is flowering there as well
in that sink though i would be training the left plant the grow laterally left and same on right in the opposite direction middle would then only need to be topped a few times but flowering 3 plants under that light isnt optimal why i asked if you could add another one of them. also keep a fan around, toughens up those stalks
a 3x3 or 2x4 would go far towards ensuring a better harvest indoors. are you sure that room doesnt have light leaks

Drop your light and gently bend the tops down and tie them with a twisty. Make sure your plants are well watered before bending the tops.

Your node spacing, the distance between each set of leaves, is a bit long, meaning your lights are a bit too far and maybe not strong enough. I wouldn't drop immediately to 12 inches, leds can definitely burn despite not being overly hot like a halide bulb, (it's not usually heat burn, it's light burn from too much light concentration too close) Do it a little at a time and see how they respond, but it can definitely go lower. Like @GreenGalaxyFarm said, you may require another light for optimum flowering.

Do you have the 4 plants in one pot?....root bound if you do and they need more light if you intend on flowering them.

Are you feeding them? in what soil?...They are not stretching as at that age they could be 5 ft tall. They are green, I think they need more soil & more light

Your strain has sativa qualities. If you want shorter wider plants the hybrids or indica strains will do you better.
