Hello Everyone was just wondering how everyone is watering thier plants?

with a sprayer, watering can, a cup, drip irrigation or something else

And how do you do it any technique?

Down the middle until runoff or just the top layer or maybe you fully saturate?

Whatever works for you

Please write down below;D

Are we talking soil as the medium? If so, I change my watering practices depending on the life stage of the plant. During vegetation, I water deeply in cycles of 3 to 4 days to encourage the roots to go deep. During flowering, I use less water but add it more often to keep the upper layers of soil moist. I usually spray the surface of the soil first so the water will spread more evenly in the soil. I water in a ring about half-way between the plant's stem and the side of the pot. I also water a little and wait about five minutes and water a little more, repeating that method.

Thats very interresting

Why mist the soil though, and not just water deeply like in veg?

I like to water very slowly. I know I need about 1/2 gallon to saturate a 3 gallon pot so I’ll fill up a watering can with 1/4 gallon. Use half at a time 3-5 minutes apart, and watch the drain holes, as soon as I see the medium getting moist inside them I let them sit for 10 minutes come back and usually have maybe a shot glass of water in the drain pan and I know it’s right on (I run organics no runoff) for reference I run promix BX (peat and perlite) and add extra perlite plus amendments)

Then just wait to the pots are light again and repeat

Extra tip, first pass with the water I try to moisten the whole top of the medium then give an extra splash when watering slowly enough you won’t get runoff immediatly so space out the incremental waterings maybe 10 minutes apart the first time you do it so you can see if you get runoff out the bottom on the first or 2nd pass you watered too much on each of those passes ,until you get the hang of how it works

Root pic of 12 days from last up pot to current up pot (yes up pots 12 days apart is my goal)

regular old 1.5L watering can. start on the edges and work your way in. whenever i have seedlings i always water around the plant and use my last bits on the middle. amazing root growth this way.

My little spout is great for controlled watering and the pump sprayer is dope for any foliar needs and clone misting

I used blumats on my last grow and I don't think I'll ever go back. They can be challenging to get set up the way you want them, but once they are you just keep the res full.

Looks pretty cool but also looks like an open invitation for fungus gnats and inadequate dry outs
