How is my first time growing?

I top at 4 or 5 but more often 5. So yeah you have clear stem to heal, it's not "spidery" growth. Unless someone has a red flag I'd say now.

I top at 4 or 5 but more often 5. So yeah you have clear stem to heal, it's not "spidery" growth. Unless someone has a red flag I'd say now.

Okay so topping is more user experience. When I started the plant I remember looking up so much shit and a lot of people said between 5th and 6th node I heard people say 4 or 5 too I just saw more people topping after 5th. but thank you for the feedback

Make sure the node you cut is as small as possible, I pinch them with my fingers (after washing my hands and nails). You might need to lollipop or at least dofoliate a little bit the lower part most likely unless you plan on doing some LST to the first node branches. Sometimes they grow upwards sometimes they grow a few inches long and are no good. We can asses when its time, around the third week of flower when they stop the stretch. Unless it becomes very bushy in which case is better to do 1 defoliation before flower and another in flower but if not 1 in flower is enough.

Also some people eat the tops, Im not kidding, even though I think its more of an asian thing. Theyre packed with minerals, vitamins and antioxidants, good for smoothies too cause is tender growth and is not as strong tasting as developed growth material.
You can do the same with the leaves if theyre healthy when you defoliate but its gonna be harder to mask the grass taste, some people use them for smoothies too though.

In Syracuse this dude Chef Johnny Richards is doing food events that feature THC focus, non-thc or light thc but focused more on CBD or THC-A, and a pure hemp food experience. 5 courses or so but it's very broad spectrum... you leave not extremely stoned but very completely stoned, if that makes sense. I eat things you have to go find in caves underwater so a plant isn't that exotic lol.
Otherwise, after fucking around a lot, I just top at 4th or 5th like I said. Deciding factor is the best section of open good stem and I hope to find like mentioned above an opportunity to clip with least possible on top. Indicas get pissy but the non-landraces ones. Modern indicas. I feel like the sativas just race past it like "ok well plan B then, whatevs". People have a definite list of varietals that hate topping, ask around too.

Okay so I topped her and got it down pretty close to the new growth points and pulled the whole stem down with some temporary like tinsel until I can get the good bendy wire did I do anything wrong? or should I cut my first node leaves?

Keep on the feed schedule and lights and steady rhythm will ride her through a pissed off period. You cut part off, don't get too worried when she's upset for a day. Sometimes I put the tiniest dab of honey on the wound but it might do nothing. Technically I guess you could wax cap it but I've never seen anyone bother. Could try a UV wand if you're perhaps a little excitable about outside possibilities. I wouldn't play football with it....

Ive tried them, theyre not bad for real, very bearable taste since its young growth, even nice if you get used to it. A bit of salt and olive oil and voila 🤌

It's bok choy shoots. It's got good stuff in it but doesn't have a real flavor besides "plant". Really a salad of cannabis shoots and baby spinach and butter lettuce was excellent, but then again it was for an expo event so the chefs were working their magic. Hell I just topped one while this discussion was going on and that was faster than talking about it lol. The one behind it might be later or tomorrow, I'm waiting for that perfect place to snip.

There are smoothies that decarb the THCa into THC. A famous one is any of them containing pinneaple, probably some enzymes. If youre gonna make a smoothie for a friend that doesnt smoke thats good to know because people have gotten stoned with weed smoothies, like very stoned hahaha. Of course that must be when its the trimms of the harvest, I doubt that you will get any high from the tops even if you use pinneaple.

Its 1 hour long but you can skyp to where he starts making the smoothie. The video is interesting though, I watched it from start to finish a while ago. Worth watching the start, its like 5 minutes until he shows the recipe and says interesting stuff. Also he gave the recipe to his friend who smokes every day and got him high too.
