I’m back and have been in trim jail for a few weeks lol. As of now, I am up to a little over 8 lbs. Not counting the shake trim. I have two plants drying and I expect roughly another half a pound and that’s it. My OG came out nice, but the Pineapple is sticky sticky sticky. I’m impatient, I have to try the dried bud before it’s properly cured, and so far pretty damn happy with the results. I pressed some fresh sugar trim and got a potent wad of dab out of it. It needs a few weeks curing but I’m glad it’s almost done and thrilled with my results. Very pleased no mold or pm issues. As soon as the last two are dry and out of the grow room, I’ll give it a good cleaning and start my indoor winter grow. Doing some Hawaiian strains next, not sure which yet, I have a variety of seeds to choose from.

So let us all know, if you’ve started your outdoor harvest, how is it going?

What did the caterpillars do to the plants? Are they ready for harvest? Mine might be a tad early for my area because I started them early.

Also, I got a garden hose end sprayer and fill it with Neem oil (which is expensive but effective and organic) so that every few weeks or whenever I notice any bug damage I’ll give them all a good spray down, getting under the leaves. I only do this on a warm day when it’s not due to rain for a few days. I also stop doing that about 3 weeks before harvest. It’s a natural insecticide and fungicide.

I had some bud tips get damaged. Only one plant was damaged, I saw a cat on another, they were both under a tree so I assume that’s the problem. I didn’t cut off anything too big, but I’m also stingy and don’t wanna lose any bud lmao

I have some captain jacks dead bug brew which has been pretty recommended on here, but I’m also mid flower so I don’t wanna spray too much. I did some biocide a few weeks ago for kites and would like to leave it at that

I have four strains, all bag seed, all different. and a pretty lengthy grow diary if you’re a reader lol

Yeah, your original question. Try stripping most if not all of the fan leaves the day or two before you actually harvest. It’ll make trimming a lot easier and won’t hurt the plant at that point. Some people trim wet , some dry it’s really your preference, but I think it comes out better wet trimmed. I cut off the branches from the bottom up, trim the bigger buds and hang the whole stem intact to dry upside down. The room I keep it in is kept at about 50-55% humidity and has a bunch of fans ( it’s my flower room). The goal is to keep it at about 60° and 50-60% humidity but the temperature isn’t as crucial to drying as the humidity level. I keep it out of sunlight. Good luck and let us know how it goes. Also invest in a couple good pairs of trimmers, fill a cup with isopropyl alcohol and use it to dunk your trimmers in periodically, they will get very gunky.

I’m still figuring out how to find stuff on here. I’m kinda in and out. My job takes a lot of time. I’ll look for your posts.

Yeah the trees will contribute to bug infestations. Do you have an open area to grow?

They look pretty healthy. Why do you have them in the shade?

Yesmaam. I’m in central ish california. We can have up to six plants. I had 10 bag seed and ended up with four girls.

Technically it’s supposed to be all under lock and key but, you know, it’s all in how you interpret it

lol please don’t call me ma’am. Even though I’m old. Lol. Jk, just sounds funny to me! Yeah it’s same here except with a medical card you can grow up to 12 with two people in the household with a card. It is supposed to be in a locked area and you shouldn’t be able to see it from the road here. Mine is “locked” with a hook and eye latch on the gate. lol. They don’t say what kind of lock.

hahahaha. I think we can only have six per household? Which I thought was nothing until this year, I didn’t realize what a plant could yield.

I bought a big open roof dog kennel for next season. It’s lockable at least ha. I wanna plant some herbs and flowers around the outside to make it less obvious I hope.
