New to the game and drying is now my dilemma . I'm drying with 50 to 54 percent humidity in my tent and my buds were green trimmed so how long should I leave before jaring
Go down to Lowe's and get a dehumidifier.Hey Franko74, I'm a new member and this is my first post so if I'm not doing this right please let me know. I've had a few good harvests. My issue is also about drying. I harvested 8 days ago. Problem is my drying closet is 76 degrees F. Humidity is 70 . I'm in fl. and wonder if anyone has a suggestion. I know how to test by bending a small twig till it snaps . Don't wanna get mold if I dry for too long. Any suggestions?
Try in a paper bag in your refrigerator. It's 50% rh in there and the cold temps will help slow the process down a lot. Go down to Lowe's and get a dehumidifier.
This is your safest bet.
My advice first and foremost get on Amazon and get some humidity packs it will save your crop if over dried or under dried. I check my plants every two days , because I have problems keeping my humidity up , so my room is usually filly dry in 5 or 6 days. The two way humidity packs have saved a few over dried crops for me.New to the game and drying is now my dilemma . Thanks man, my closet where I dry is super small, like 2ft by 6ft. I have a small 6" electric fan ,also several containers of Rapid Rid to help with humidity. It's been like 78 to 80 degrees and 98 rh here in SE Florida. Turned my air to 71degrees to try to lower both. Right now it's 77 degrees with 68 rh in the closet, I harvested 9 day ago and twigs are still bendy. How long can I dry before problems.Go down to Lowe's and get a dehumidifier.
I like a slow dry (1 week - 10 days). Keep fans running to circulate air.
I’m in FL too and high humidity is def problem a good dehumidifier for this time of year - usually the ac takes care of most . Anyhow if ya can’t get the humidity down any other way grab a damprid moisture control bucket at a dollar store and place it inside your dry space it helps but in no way is the best solution.Hey Franko74, I'm a new member and this is my first post so if I'm not doing this right please let me know. Agree with my mystic brother, dehumidifier is critical. I'm also in a high humidity environment and have the air conditioner set at 20. I've added a Hitachi Air Purifier because it also removes humidity. I have taken several of the smaller buds and after 1 week put them into brown paper bags loosely folded....then check day by day shake the bags....do a dance and wait. I had some of the big buds go to mold so am being 1000% careful.Go down to Lowe's and get a dehumidifier.

What do you think about my refrigerator idea all the way back in post number 6? LolMy opinion get it somewhere under 70f. I have a buddy with his basement in the 50s F plants hung full they take over 3 weeks in low humidity.... more than needed but the temps imo are more Important than the humidity. Can always let em get crispy them toss em in storage totes of pails to slow the rest of the dry.
Yeah that will slow em down alot.... if I were to do the fridge I'd probably do the in out thing... pretty sure someone did this here and it took well over a month to dry.What do you think about my refrigerator idea all the way back in post number 6? Lol
Until they're not! Lol But yeah it would take a while I guess. Was just trying to brainstorm an easy fix for the OP rh issue.The fridge is for keeping things fresh.
