I’m about to start growing photos for the first time and need some recommendations as to how much perlite to mix into happy frog

I like a 70% coco to 30% perlite ratio.

I liked to mix in about 25-30% more. It depends on your environment. You can dial in how long it takes to water with amount of additional perlite.

Up to 30 % of your mix I’m in coco I run 30%70 % perlite to coco standard mix . Hope that helps . Odalsr running 30 % in my outdoor grow in a potting mix working great helps drainage 100%

Happy frog is fox farm peat based potting soil with worm castings and amendments.

Yeah, about 30% perlite, look for the large chunks, popcorn size.

It takes 7 shovelfuls to fill my five gallon pots. 3 are perlite. I like a light fluffy, well draining medium with a lot of air pockets.
Just personal preference. Organic soil auto grower.
