How Much Root On Clones Before Moving Into Soil?

I've got a clone king 36, with the aeroponic mist, and now a dozen babies have varying amounts of roots. How much white do I need to see before I should go to soil? Thank you-

I would wait until you get a tail that comes straight down... approximately 1 foot below the neoprene collar.

I agree, I like to make sure the roots will be almost to the bottom of the pot I'm transplanting to. Of course, that doesn't mean you can't, it's what I prefer though. Makes for a much quicker/easier transplant.
